A node is disclosed. The node may have a core. The node may also have a projection extending from the core. Further the node may have a structural member attached to the projection. The node may also have a top cover having a top recess. The top recess may be configured to receive the structural member. Additionally, the node may have a bottom cover having a bottom recess. The bottom recess may be configured to receive the structural member. In addition the node may have a fastener to connect the top cover and the bottom cover.

Node for a space frame

A space frame for a machine is disclosed. The space frame may have a first end configured to be connected to front wheels of the machine. The space frame may also have a second end configured to be connected to rear wheels of the machine. Further, the space frame may have primary structural members arranged substantially lengthwise between the first end and the second end. In addition, the space frame may have secondary structural members connected between the primary structural members to form substantially triangulated structures allowing the space frame to support a payload to empty vehicle weight ratio ranging from about 1.2:1 to 2:1.

A reinforced payload container may include a panel forming at least one of a floor, a sidewall, and a front wall. A first plurality of ribs may be attached to the panel and may include a first free edge and a first panel edge. A second plurality of ribs may also be attached to the panel and may intersect with the first plurality of ribs. The second plurality of ribs may include a second free edge and a second panel edge. The first plurality of ribs may include first rib slots along the first free edge, and the second plurality of ribs may include second rib slots along the second panel edge. The first rib slots and the second rib slots may be aligned so that the first rib slots receive the second ribs and the second rib slots receive the first ribs.
