An optical connection identification assembly includes first and second connectors for conveying optical signals within and away from the optical connection identification assembly, first and second optical filters configured for conveying optical signals to and from the respective first and second connectors and between each other, and first and second photodiodes. The first photodiode is configured for receiving optical signals from the first optical filter to confirm the optical connection identification assembly is receiving optical signals. The second photodiode is configured for receiving optical signals from the second optical filter to confirm the optical connection identification assembly is receiving optical signals. The first and the second connectors are on opposite sides of each of the first and the second optical filters and each of the first and the second photodiodes. Multiple optical connection identification assemblies are used in a system to prepare a connectivity map of a fiber optic system.

Intelligent patch panel

One or more remote radio probes (RRPs) may be installed in the fronthaul network of a cellular Radio Access Network. Each RRP may be designed as to be permanently, or semi-permanently, placed in the fronthaul network. The RRP may be designed to capture baseband radio data transmitted through the fronthaul network. The RRP may buffer and forward the captured baseband radio data to an analysis platform. The analysis platform may be a software implemented platform to perform signal and/or spectral analysis of the received baseband radio data.

Remote monitoring of fronthaul radio signals

A device may receive, from a browser, a message requesting that a first signal from a first base station of a first wireless network be attenuated in accordance with a first attenuation value. The device may set an attenuation level of the first wireless signal in accordance with the first attenuation value in response to the message. The first signal attenuated by the first attenuation value is wirelessly transmitted to a first user device at a first area shielded from signals wirelessly transmitted to a second user device at a second location.
