Refresh requests are received by a data source that each request a snapshot of current members of one of a plurality of dynamically changing groups and dynamically changing rules corresponding to such group. Thereafter, the data source queues the received plurality of refresh requests for selective execution or deletion into a new request queue. In addition, real-time execution of refresh jobs are initiated for all of queued refresh requests if a number of refresh requests in both of the new request queue and a waiting requests queue is below a pre-defined threshold. Alternatively, a job framework schedules execution of task jobs for a subset of the queued requests in the new request queue and the waiting requests queue if certain conditions are met.

Refreshing framework

Some embodiments provide a program that receives, from an application, a role-based permission (RBP) request specifying an RBP, a first user, and a second user. The RBP specifies a set of actions, a first set of users authorized to perform the set of actions, a second set of users on which the first set of users is authorized to perform the set of actions, and a relationship condition. When the relationship condition specifies a hierarchy-based relationship, the program determines valid users in the second set of users according to a hierarchy of users. When the relationship condition specifies a non-hierarchy-based relationship, the program determines valid users in the second set of users according to a relationship not based on the hierarchy of users. The program determines whether the first user is authorized to perform the set of actions on the second user based on the determined valid users.

Role-based permissions for hierarchy-based relationships

Described herein is a framework for providing and securing data access by external users. In accordance with one aspect of the framework, an external schema is generated to pair with an existing company schema in a database. The company schema may own data stored in the database. One or more access-control views that expose one or more subsets of the data may further be generated. The external schema may be granted access to the one or more access-control views. Synonyms may be created to rename access-control views, so that the synonyms share common names with corresponding database objects accessible via the company schema. External users may then access the data visible to them via the synonyms that are used to alias the access-control views.

Data access by external users

Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide improved systems and techniques for intelligently allocating cache requests to caches based upon the nature of the cache objects associated with the cache requests, and/or the condition of the caches in the distributed cache system, to facilitate cache system utilization and performance. In some embodiments, an allocation of cache requests may be performed in response to detection of a problem at one of a group of cache servers. For example, in some embodiments, a particular cache server may be entered into a safe mode of operations when the cache's ability to service cache requests is impaired. In other embodiments, an allocation of cache requests may be performed based on an cache object data type associated with the cache requests.
