A wound therapy apparatus disclosed herein includes a wound interface sealingly securable to a skin surface around a wound bed to form an enclosed space over the wound bed. An inflow fluid pathway and an outflow fluid pathway communicate fluidly with the enclosed space through an inflow port and an outflow port, respectively. The inflow port and the outflow port may be in spaced relation to define a flow path within the enclosed space equivalent in length to a characteristic length of the enclosed space. Pressure sensors may be in communication with the inflow fluid pathway and the outflow fluid pathway to detect inflow pressure p, and outflow pressure p.

Apparatus and methods for pressure management within a wound chamber

A wound therapy apparatus is disclosed that includes a wound interface securable to a skin surface around a wound bed to form an enclosed space over the wound bed that is fluid-tight. The wound therapy apparatus may include a dressing engaged with the wound interface to contact the wound bed. A spacer may be disposed within the enclosed space proximal of the dressing to define a plenum between portions of the wound interface and a proximal side of the dressing. Gas within the enclosed space may have an Oconcentration greater than the Oconcentration in atmospheric air. The dressing may include a hydrophobic material, a hydrophilic material, or a distal layer comprised of silicone having fenestrations therein, in various aspects. The pressure pwithin the enclosed space may vary over a pressure range P&#x2264;P&#x2264;P. Related methods of use are also disclosed.

Apparatus for wound therapy

A wound therapy apparatus is disclosed herein. In various aspects, the wound therapy apparatus may include a distal layer to contact a wound bed, the distal layer comprised of silicone, and fenestrations disposed about the distal layer pass between a distal side of the distal layer and a proximal side of the distal layer to communicate between the distal side and the proximal side. A pad may cooperate with the proximal side of the distal layer to receive exudate communicated through the distal layer from the wound bed via the fenestrations, in various aspects. Various materials including medicament(s) may be communicated to the wound bed through the distal layer via the fenestrations, in various aspects. A structural member may be included in various aspects to secure the distal layer and pad to a skin surface, in various aspects. Methods of use of the wound therapy apparatus are disclosed herein. A method for resynchronizing data repositories in a high availability storage environment includes maintaining, in a first gateway server, a first journal that records operations that are performed for a first set of objects. The method further maintains, in a second gateway server, a second journal that records operations that are performed for a second set of objects. The method communicates, from the first gateway server to the second gateway server, any operations that are performed by the first gateway server for objects in the second set, so that these operations may be recorded in the second journal. The method further communicates, from the second gateway server to the first gateway server, any operations that are performed by the second gateway server for objects in the first set, so that these operations may be recorded in the first journal. A corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed.

Data synchronization in high availability storage environments

Provided are a method, system, and computer program product in which a storage controller receives a request from a host to migrate a source dataset comprising a plurality of tracks to a cloud storage. A plurality of readers are initiated to read the plurality of tracks of the source dataset in parallel, wherein each of the plurality of readers reads different tracks from the source dataset and transmits the tracks that are read from the source dataset to a migrator. For each track received by the migrator from the plurality of readers, the track is appended sequentially to a migrate dataset to be stored in the cloud storage. Metadata that indicates a mapping of tracks of the source dataset to tracks of the migrate dataset is generated.

Migration of data from a storage controller to cloud storage by using parallel readers for the data

A storage controller receives a request from a host to generate a source dataset by downloading a cloud object corresponding to the source dataset from a cloud storage. A plurality of writers that execute in parallel determines from metadata that indicates a mapping of tracks of the source dataset to tracks of the cloud object, which track of the cloud object corresponds to which track of the source dataset, to generate the source dataset from the cloud object for storing in a storage drive coupled to the storage controller.

Recall of previously migrated data from a cloud storage to a storage controller by using parallel writers for the data

Provided are techniques for cloud based store and restore with copy services. A store command to transfer data from one or more tracks of a volume to cloud storage is received. With track services, data for the one or more tracks in the volume is retrieved by emulating a host read. With a cloud data movement engine, the data for the one or more tracks is converted to data for one or more objects. With the cloud data movement engine, the one or more objects are stored in the cloud storage.

Cloud based store and restore with copy services

In one embodiment of split data migration in accordance with the present description, to migrate the data of a volume or other data unit which has been previously mirrored from a primary data storage system to a secondary data storage system, the data unit is split into two or more parts. One part is migrated from the primary data storage system to a migration target storage system, and another part is migrated from the secondary data storage system, to the same, common migration target storage system. In this manner, the migration workload of migrating a unit of data may be split between the primary and secondary storage systems, reducing the impact of migration data processing upon the primary storage system and reducing migration time. Other features and aspects may be realized, depending upon the particular application.

A cache scan is initiated at a time interval to determine modified tracks to destage from a cache to the first or second storage. A modified track is processed during the cache scan. The modified track is destaged to the first storage in response to the modified track stored in the first storage. A determination is made as to whether there was a host write to the second storage since a previous cache scan in response to the modified track stored in the second storage. The modified track is destaged to the second storage in response to determining that there was a host write to the second storage since the previous cache scan.

A method for reducing I/O performance impacts associated with a data commit operation is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method includes periodically performing a data commit operation wherein modified data is destaged from cache to persistent storage drives. Upon performing a particular instance of the data commit operation, the method determines whether modified data in the cache is a metadata track. In the event the modified data is a metadata track, the method attempts to acquire an exclusive lock on the metadata track. In the event the exclusive lock cannot be acquired, the method skips over the metadata track without destaging the metadata track for the particular instance of the data commit operation. A corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed.
