A collapsible container includes opposed side walls hingedly connected along their upper and lower edges respectively to the bottom of a rectangular peripheral upper rim and to the bottom of the container along opposed side edges of the rim and bottom. End walls are hingedly connected along their upper edges to the rim along its opposed end edges. Webs along the end edges of the side walls and bottom engage the end walls to locate the end walls in their vertical erected position relative to the bottom, and projecting tabs on the end walls are received in mating recesses in the web to maintain the bottom and side walls against flexing when the container is erected. The upper rim is adapted to receive a stacking rail formed on the container bottom to enable stacking of the containers either in their erected or collapsed configuration. The container may include a pair of cover panels hinged along their respective outer side edges to the tops of the side edges of the rim. The end edges of the cover panels are formed with rim receiving grooves on their lower sides which snugly receive the end edges of the rim when the cover panels are closed. The cover panels are formed with a stacking rail receiving recess in their upper surfaces.

Collapsible container

A square nesting and stacking container wherein each wall of the container has a plurality of feet near the bottom of the container and a plurality of saddles near the top of the container. The saddles are located directly above the feet so that the feet will engage the saddles of a similarly oriented container of identical construction and support the same in a stacked relationship. There are clearances between the saddles so that when one container is turned 90.degree. with respect to another, it may be lowered into a nested relationship with the latter without interference because the feet will enter and pass through the clearances of the lower container.

Nestable and stackable container

A multilevel stacking container is nestable in a like container when in like end to like end relationship thereto and stackable in an intermediate level relative to the underlying container upon reversal to a like end to unlike end relationship. A stacking shelf is hingedly mound on each end of the container between a stored position, which accommodates nesting or intermediate level stacking of like containers, and a support position which establishes a high level stacking configuration in which the upper of two stacked containers is stably supported at a substantially higher level relative to the underlying container as compared to the intermediate level stacked relationship.

Multilevel stacking container

A multilevel stacking container having opposed end walls of complementary configuration such that one container may be stacked upon a like container at a first level in a like end to like end relationship and stacked at a second level in a like end to complementary end relationship. The end walls are so configured as to accommodate transverse sliding of the upper container laterally across the lower container into either of the aforementioned stacked relationships without snagging prior to final vertical alignment. Abutment means are operable to maintain the stacked containers against movement out of vertical alignment once in a stacked relationship. As employed in the following claims, the word 'coextensive' is to be construed as meaning in alignment--laterally or transversely of the container--that is, elements on opposite end walls of the container are 'coextensive' with each other when they are located at equal distances from one of the container side walls (even though the element on one end wall may be vertically offset from the other 'coextensive' element).

A four-level stacking container includes bale members mounted on each of two opposed end walls by pivot pins received in slots in the end walls. The configuration of the slots are such that the bale member pivot pins may be located in either of at least two stable rest positions within the slots and the bale member may be pivoted to either of two rest positions relative to the end walls for each stable rest position of the pivot pin. The four rest positions thus established accommodate the stacking of a like container in a first container at any one of four different elevations relative to the first container.

Four-level stacking container

A container adapted to either stack or nest with another similarly oriented container of identical construction. The container has a plurality of feet along each side adjacent the bottom. The container side walls each have a lower section and an upper section spaced outwardly from the lower section and joined thereto by a ledge providing nesting saddles directly above the feet. The container also has a plurality of stacking saddles along the upper edge of each side wall likewise postioned directly above the feet. There are inclined ridges in the upper and lower sections of each side wall which guide the container down to a nested position within a lower container of identical construction.

Stack and nest container

A plastic pallet having an elongated downwardly opening channel molded into the undersurface of its bottom wall. The channel extends through the midpoint of the bottom wall from one side edge to the other and may be provided with ribs for added reinforcement. A plastic reinforcing strip is fused along substantially its full length to the channel flanges to close the space within the channel.

Reinforced pallet

The container disclosed herein is adapted to nest in a similarly oriented lower container of identical construction when turned 90.degree. with respect thereto. The container is also adapted to stack at a higher level in the lower container when similarly oriented or when turned 180.degree.. The container has a substantially square bottom wall, side walls extending substantially vertically upwardly from opposite sides edges of the bottom wall, an open front, and a nesting support bar extending across the rear of the container in spaced relation above the bottom wall to define an open space between the bottom wall and the support bar. The container is nested with the lower container by engaging the support bar over the upper edge of one of the side walls of the lower container and resting the front portion of the container on seating means provided on the other side wall of the lower container. The side walls also have stacking rails or ribs along their upper edges and complementary stacking grooves in the bottom wall so that the container may be slid to a stacked position across a lower container of identical construction.

Nesting and stacking container

The container disclosed herein is adapted to stack or nest with a similarly oriented lower container of identical construction. The container side walls have stacking supports on their upper edges. Rests in the underside directly beneath these supports permit the container to be stacked at an upper level on a similarly or reversely oriented container of identical construction. The container end walls have second rests disposed above the level of the first mentioned rests and spaced apart the same distance as the stacking supports so that the container can be nested at a lower level with a 90.degree. turned lower container of identical construction.

Stacking and nesting container

A container designed to stack with another container of identical construction at a plurality of different levels. The container is a full slide-on container, that is it can be stacked by sliding it horizontally over the full width of another container. A drawer or tray in the bottom of the container may be withdrawn by a horizontal sliding movement through the open front of the container.
