Disclosed is a cable gripping device used for manually gripping a coaxial cable to install a coaxial connector on the coaxial cable. According to an exemplary embodiment, the coaxial gripping tool includes a first half portion and a mating and/or hinged second half portion, wherein the mating/hinged portions provide a longitudinal bore configured to grip the coaxial cable.

A system is provided which carries cables isolated from each other and isolated from a tower which carries antennas for the cables. The system includes a support plate carried near the top of the tower which carries strain relief devices for gripping each cable. A plurality of guide plates are spaced along the tower and each plate carries inserts which provide apertures of a predetermined size to match the size of the cable passing therethrough. The apertures are spaced from each other and spaced from the tower. An additional plate is attached to the tower near the bottom thereof and is provided with connector assemblies so that the cables may be attached to a send/receive unit.

A device is provided to attach a connector having an internally threaded base and external threads to a cable having a casing. The device includes a body having a bore therethrough. At least a portion of the bore is threaded and the external threads on the connector are threaded into the threads of the bore until a stop surface in the bore is engaged by a portion of the connector. The device may then be turned to thread the base onto the casing of the cable.

The mast () of an antenna is pivotally carried by a post () by a hinge assembly (). A pedestal () is carried by the post () and is adapted to carry a winch () having a line () with a hook () at the end thereof. A hook mount () is carried by the mast () and is adapted to receive the hook () of the winch (). A locking bracket () is carried by the mast () and is connected to the pedestal () when the mast () is positioned adjacent to the post (). An insulator bar () is positioned between the mast () and the hinge assembly () and the locking bracket ().

An antenna includes a feedpoint support plate () which is provided with terminal connectors () to attach feed wires () to dipole lines (). A balun () of one size may be connected to the plate () by fastening assemblies () received at apertures () in the plate () and at apertures () of the balun (). Baluns of other sizes may also be connected to the plate () by fastening assemblies () received at apertures () in the plate () and at holes () provided with the coil (). The plate () can also carry a strain relief bracket () which includes grip members () which engage the feed line () at two spaced locations with a loop () formed therebetween to isolate a coupling () from any strain.

A hub assembly () includes a hub () which can be attached to the mast () of an antenna by fastening assemblies () at a selected position along the mast (). The hub () can carry rods () in horizontal slots () to form a capacitance hat for the antenna, or can carry rods () in vertical slots () so that the rods () can be positioned to overlie a trap () by a selected extent to tune the trap () a selected amount. Clamping assemblies () hold the rods () in the selected slots (-). Apertures () are provided in the hub () and are adapted to receive guy wires to support the antenna.
