An abrasive article and method of making same wherein the abrasive article comprises a mounting assembly and an abrasive attachment assembly wherein the first interlock member of the mounting assembly and the second interlock member of the abrasive attachment assembly are configured to align the central axis of the abrasive attachment assembly and the central axis of the mounting assembly, and the first interlock member releasably engages the second interlock member. The abrasive article is adapted to clean a work surface area around studs using a rotary tool, including, for example, a drills or die grinder.

Abrasive article and method of making the same

A backpack for use in combination with a filter bag and a pneumatic sanding tool is described. The backpack comprises a backpack strap, a back panel, and an opening or a first mesh panel located in the back panel. The opening or the first mesh panel is positioned to direct exhaust air from the filter bag onto a person's back during use.

The second filter layer comprising a melt blown microfiber nonwoven web; the second filter layer having a total pressure drop between about between about 5.5 to about 20.0 mm HO, and the second filter layer having a total basis weight between about 15 to about 75 grams/m.

The back-up pad comprises: a body including a front surface and a back surface in which the front surface comprises a first attachment component thereon and the back surface comprises a second attachment component thereon, and each of the attachment components is adapted for releasable engagement with an abrasive article; a reinforcing plate located within the body between the front surface and the back surface; and tool securing means on the body for securing the back-up pad to a power tool and for selectively orienting the back-up pad in one of a first orientation and a second orientation. When the back-up pad is in the first orientation, substantially the entire front surface is exposed for contacting a workpiece, and when the back-up pad is in the second orientation, substantially the entire back surface is exposed for contacting a workpiece.

Cutting tool and method for manufacture

A cutting tool adapted to be reciprocated by a manually manipulated air hammer or similar device while being used to separate laminated materials. The cutting tool comprises a blade of thin resiliently flexible metal having a sharpened edge and an opposite driven edge, and an adapter comprising a blade holder portion which may include polymeric material permanently molded around a portion of the blade adjacent its driven edge, and a shank portion shaped for engagement by the air hammer attached to the blade holder that has an end shaped for engagement by the air hammer or similar device. The majority of or all of the adapter can be formed of the polymeric material to provide a low mass for the cutting tool and an average specific gravity for the adapter that is significantly less than the specific gravity of metal.

An abrading assembly including a back up pad comprising a self supporting, resiliently flexible circular support layer and a flexible abrasive sheet. The abrasive sheet includes a circular central portion having a size generally corresponding to a front surface of the support layer, and at least two tab portions projecting from its central portion. The central portion of the sheet is adapted to overly the front surface of the support layer with the tab portions positioned along its peripheral surface, and means are provided for releasably attaching each of the tab portions to the back up pad. A user may insert his hand between a strap and rear surface of the support layer while the user moves his hand to move the abrasive sheet over a surface to be abraded.
