Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for determining available remote storages in a network to use to replicate a file based on a geographical requirement with respect the file. A determination is made as whether available remote storages satisfy constraints associated with a document class of the file. The constraints include a geographical location at which to replicate the file and a minimum number of replications to create for the file. At least one remote storage of the available remote storages is selected that satisfies the constraints to store at least one copy of the file. The file is replicated to the selected at least one remote storage.

Provided are techniques for comparing similar applications. A feature is identified from a linkage table, wherein the linkage table comprises a link to first information and a link to second information describing the feature, wherein the first information is for a first application and the second information is for a second application. There is redirection from a first web page to a second web page in a Graphical User Interface (GUI) with a first window in the second web page displaying the first information and a second window in the second web page displaying the second information.

A computer-implemented method, system and computer program product is provided for optimizing a document change or provenance scoring system by weighting sections of a document, scoring the changes for each section, and then combining the change scores for each section to generate an overall change score. An associated report may also be generated that catalogs all of the various scoring elements. The weighted score is stored in a document management system and provides a human document reviewer a level of detail to evaluate document changes. Accordingly, the weighted score reveals whether a document's changes require a brief or detailed review before the document's changes are approved for a next document version.

A graph of nodes representing content items is generated with edges connecting the nodes and representing relationships between the content items. A record is declared in a records management system for the selected content item and the identified content items. A lifecycle policy is associated with the record. The lifecycle policy is applied to the selected content item and the identified content items when processing the record.

One or more rules may be identified for executing the trace for the subsystem of the computing device, wherein the one or more rules may be based upon, at least in part, at least one of the current amount of resources used by the computing device and the future amount of resources for executing the trace for the subsystem of the computing device. It may be determined whether to execute the trace for the subsystem of the computing device based upon, at least in part, the one or more rules.
