A method for partially publishing edits to a document is described. A first document including a first cell and a second cell is displayed on first user account on a first computing device and on a second user account. A second document including a linked version of the first cell and a linked version of the second cell is displayed. An edit of the first cell is received from the first user account and an edit of the second cell is received. In response to receiving an indication from the first user account that the edit of the first cell is to be published, the edit of the first cell is made to the linked version of the first cell, while the linked version of the second cell is unchanged so that the content of the linked version of the second cell no longer matches that of the second cell.

Method for partially publishing edits to a document

Disclosed are systems and methods for XBRL tag suggestion and validation. In some embodiments, the method includes the steps of: receiving an XBRL document associated with one or more assigned XBRL tags; analyzing the XBRL document using a trained machine learning model to generate one or more suggested XBRL tags and determine one or more corresponding confidence values; comparing the one or more assigned XBRL tags with the one or more suggested XBRL tags to generate comparison results; and determining a tag confidence value associated with each assigned XBRL tag of the one or more assigned XBRL tags based on the comparison results.

Systems and methods for XBRL tag suggestion and validation

Provided is a method for review of an XBRL document. An XBRL document is received followed by a request to create an XBRL review for the XBRL document. A selection of an XBRL fact included in the XBRL document is received and a first review status, of a plurality of review statuses, is applied to the selected XBRL fact. The selected XBRL fact is monitored to detect a change to the XBRL fact, and in response to detecting a change to the XBRL fact, the first review status of the XBRL fact is updated to a second review status of the plurality of review statuses.

System and method for XBRL review

A method on a client device is described. First document content information that corresponds to a first plurality of document elements of an electronic document is received from a data server. A graphical user interface that represents the first plurality of document elements is generated based on the first document content information. First author identifiers that indicate most recent authors for the first plurality of document elements are received. The first document content information and the first author identifiers correspond to a first timestamp. Visual identifiers for the first author identifiers are selected based on the graphical user interface. The visual identifiers are generated to indicate which of the first author identifiers correspond to the first plurality of document elements represented by the graphical user interface.

Electronic document author identification

A method for managing display of electronic documents is described. A user interface is generated for a visual style set of visual styles that affect display of electronic document content. A visual style of the visual style set comprises a style element set of style elements. A lock status for a style element of the style element set is received via the user interface. The lock status indicates whether the style element is editable or non-editable by a user of an electronic document associated with the visual style set. The visual style set is stored with the lock status for the style element.

Method and apparatus for selective visual formatting of an electronic document

A computer implemented system provides intelligent formatting of footnotes in electronic documents. The system includes a display device that displays an electronic document in a graphical user interface, a user interface, and a processor. The processor controls the display device and the user interface to display, in response to user input, a footnote editing interface that allows a user to create new footnotes and edit existing footnotes. The system provides multi-user access to a single document in which individual sections of the document may be in active, inactive, and/or locked states, where users perform activities as permitted by a combination of user authorization rights and these states. The footnotes may reference multiple sections on one or more pages of a document, are formatted so that each footnote resides on only a single page, and may display an obscured or blank area for footnotes originating in other sections.
