A current cable trap includes a ceramic toroid body having a first end and a second end. The ceramic toroid body includes grooves disposed on a surface of the ceramic toroid body and extending between the first end and the second end. The current cable trap also includes conductive traces formed within the grooves. A method for manufacturing a current cable trap includes forming a ceramic toroid body having a first end and a second end. The ceramic toroid body includes grooves disposed on a surface of the ceramic toroid body and extending between the first end and the second end. The grooves extend along both an inner surface and an outer surface of the ceramic toroid body between the first end and the second end. The method also includes performing metallization to form conductive traces within the grooves.

Ceramic toroidal cable trap

An apparatus for suspending a sensor element is provided. The apparatus can include a housing including a cavity, an inner surface, and a first end cap integrally formed within a first end of the housing. The housing can include a sensor element therein. The first end cap can include a first plurality of suspension elements integrally formed within the first end cap and arranged to project from a surface of the first end cap toward the cavity. The inner surface of the housing and/or the first plurality of suspension elements can suspend the sensor element within the cavity as the sensor element translates within the cavity. Related systems and methods of manufacture are also described.

Sensor element suspension

A sensor having a sensor head including a unibody construction, a first electrode, and at least one second electrode is provided. The first electrode can include a first pair of sensing elements coupled to each over via at least one bridge element extending from a first sensing element to a second sensing element. The at least one second electrode can include a second pair of sensing elements interleaved with the first pair of sensing elements. The second pair of sensing elements can be coupled to each other via at least one second bridge element extending from a third sensing element to a fourth sensing element. A method of manufacturing the sensor is also provided.

Impedance sensor

A radiation detection assembly that includes an ionization chamber having a cathode and an anode. The ionization chamber detects radiation that passes into the ionization chamber. The assembly includes an exterior enclosure defining a hollow internal volume within which the ionization chamber is enclosed. The exterior enclosure includes at least two layers. At least one of the layers provides an electromagnetic shield to the hollow internal volume and the ionization chamber enclosed therein.

Ion chamber enclosure material to increase gamma radiation sensitivity

A radiation detection assembly includes an ionization chamber for detecting radiation. An exterior enclosure houses the ionization chamber within an interior volume. A pair of support structures support the ionization chamber with respect to the exterior enclosure. The support structures are disposed opposite each other at a surface of the ionization chamber such that the ionization chamber is symmetric with respect to an axis extending between the support structures. A method of supporting the radiation detection assembly is also provided.

High pressure ion chamber enclosure support mount

A radiation detection assembly includes an ionization chamber for detecting radiation. The ionization chamber includes a volume of pressurized gas. An exterior enclosure houses the ionization chamber within an interior volume. The exterior enclosure includes a frangible section. A relief assembly defines a gas flow path from the ionization chamber to the frangible section of the exterior enclosure. The frangible section releases pressure from within the ionization chamber when the pressurized gas within the ionization chamber exceeds a predetermined pressure such that at least some of the pressurized gas flows through the relief assembly and through the frangible section of the exterior enclosure. The pressurized gas is then released to an exterior of the exterior enclosure. A method of reducing pressure within a radiation detection assembly is also provided.

Enclosure pressure relief mechanism inherent to case design

An arrangement for detecting energy particle impingement includes a support frame and a multi-tube detector pack. Each pack includes multiple detector tubes. Each tube contains at least one sensitive material. Each tube is elongate along a respective axis. The tubes extend parallel with the respective axes being co-planar. Each pack includes mounting tabs located at each axial end. The tabs provide support for the tubes within the pack. At least one of the tabs has at least one securing portion and at least one adjusting portion. Each pack includes at least one operable securing member extending from the respective securing portion to the frame. Operation of the securing member secures the pack to the support frame. Each pack includes at least one operable adjusting member extending from the respective adjusting portion to the frame. Operation of the adjusting member changes an orientation of the pack.
