A vehicle anchored accessory holder may include a base plate, a brace connected to and extending upwardly from the base plate and an angled support connected to the at least one brace. The vehicle anchored accessory holder may also include a female fitting connected to and extending upwardly from the base plate. The female fitting may also be connected to the angled support. The female fitting may have an open top to receive at least one of an extension arm stem and an accessory. There is disclosed a novel process for preparing products of the reaction of elemental phosphorus and elemental sulfur under reaction conditions wherein the phosphorus and sulfur are combined in a pre-mix at temperatures below the reaction temperature. The pre-mix may contain a diluent which is preferably the product of the reaction. Phosphorus pentasulfide can be prepared by heating the pre-mix to reaction temperatures wherein lower exotherm temperatures and reduced vibration are observed. Organophosphorus and thionated products can be prepared by the reaction of elemental sulfur and elemental phosphorus together with an organic compound wherein the ratio of phosphorus and sulfur generally corresponding to P.sub.2 S.sub.5. The process obviates the need for separately preparing phosphorus pentasulfide to prepare thiohated and organophosphorus compounds.

There is disclosed a process for preparing novel tacking agents for glass fiber insulation. The tacking agent solution is prepared by adding a condensed phosphate to an aqueous solution of aluminum orthophosphate to provide a homogeneous solution having an Al:P molar ratio of less than 1, preferably 1:3 and wherein the amount of condensed phosphate comprises from about 25 to about 75 percent of the total phosphate in the solution. The tacking agent is applied to glass fiber in the preparation of insulating articles and then heated to convert the tacking agent into a non-hygroscopic, water insoluble, amorphous, condensed aluminum phosphate polymer. The tacking agent resiliently tacks the glass fibers together so as to provide regain of shape after deformation of the fibers as by compression.

A process for the removal of sulfur dioxide from gasses produced by processes resulting in off gases at elevated temperatures as in the combustion of sulfur containing fuels such as coal and fuel oil by contacting the gasses with a composition including a source of calcium, and a catalytically effective amount of a molybdenum containing catalyst for the oxidation of sulfur dioxide to sulfur trioxide which then reacts with the calcium compound to form calcium sulfate.

There is disclosed an improved process for preparing 1-hydroxy-3-oxa-1,2,4,5-pentane tetracarboxylic acid and 3,6-dioxa-1,2,4,5,7,8-octane hexacarboxylic acid wherein the unreacted starting acids are recovered in more desirable crystal habit. The acids are precipitated in salt form by lowering the pH of the reaction product to a range of from 4 to below 6 stepwise. The pH is lowered to above 6 in the first step and then relatively rapidly reduced to the desired level in the second step.
