A method, system and program product for securing data written to a storage device coupled to a computer system. The method includes providing a detachable data security key device for controlling access to data written to a storage within a computer system and attaching the security key device to the computer system for enabling access to the data written to the storage. Further, the method includes detaching the security key device from the computer system for disabling access to the data written to the storage, wherein removal of the security key device from the computer system renders the data written to the storage unreadable. In an embodiment, the security key device includes an encryption key module coupled to the security key device for encrypting the data written to the storage and includes a decryption key module coupled to the security key device for decrypting the data written to the storage.

A packaging system and method for packaging a piece of machinery are provided. A first corner bracket is extended from a first exterior edge of the machinery. The first corner bracket comprises a first baseplate positioned along a bottom plane of the machinery, and a first plurality of side plates. Each of the first plurality of side plates is integrally attached to the first baseplate at a first angle. Each of the first plurality of side plates extends upwardly from the baseplate. Each of the first plurality of side plates is integrally attached to at least one other of the first plurality of side plates. The first plurality of side plates form a first interior edge that mates to the first exterior edge of the machinery.

A system for impairing at least one pair of data platters stacked. An alignment device is pivotably mounted; upper and lower arms of the alignment device are spaced apart from and extend parallel to one another. The alignment device is movable between a stowed position in which the alignment device is spaced apart from the data platters to an impairment position in which the upper and lower arms of the alignment device overlay at least an edge of the data platters. The upper arm includes an opening for receiving an impairment tool, the opening being generally aligned with an impairment opening formed in the enclosure when the alignment device is in the impairment position. The impairment tool is inserted through the impairment opening formed in the enclosure and the opening in the upper arm for engaging a surface of the data platters to impair the data platters.

An exemplary receives units of circuitry from a plurality of business entities, and determines if access to a unit is blocked by lack of a primary password. If access is blocked, the method determines whether a value of the unit exceeds a threshold. If the value exceeds a threshold, the method attaches a connector to the unit, uses the processor to send a first set of signals into a hardware port of the unit via the connector, and receives a visual signal from the unit.
