A method of decreasing a cycle time of a brazing process is provided. The method includes arranging each of first and second pairs of braze parts together, each of the first and second pairs of the braze parts having braze material interposed between the braze parts, stacking the first and second pairs of the braze parts to form a stack, interposing pyrolytic graphite (PG) between the first pair of the braze parts and the second pair of the braze parts in the stack and heating the first and second pairs of the braze parts to a brazing temperature to braze the braze parts of each of the first and second pairs of the braze parts together.

Furnace braze cycle enhancement

An improved heat exchanger assembly and method. First and second plates made of a predetermined thermally conductive material are configured when mated to form a hermetically sealed vapor chamber. A wick made of the same predetermined thermally conductive material resides in the vapor chamber forming a gas chamber.

Heat exchanger assembly

A radiation limiting opening for a structure includes a door with a gasket which seals against a door frame about the opening. Spaced apart channels in the door frame define a strike plate therebetween. A film made of a material galvanically compatible with the gasket to prevent corrosion is in intimate contact with the strike plate by a seal. This seal lodges an edge of the film in each channel to create a tortuous path for radiation.
