The controller unit () processes the output of the detecting unit(s) () to detect a cardiac arrhythmia or indications of a possible arrhythmia in the heart and controls the application of anti-arrhythmic therapy, anti-arrhythmic cardiac contractility modulating signal therapy, and cardiac contractility modulating therapy to the heart.
