Systems and methods include a snapshot interface to receive, from an application executing within a virtualized execution environment, a request to generate a snapshot of the virtualized execution environment. The snapshot interface forwards the request to generate the snapshot to a virtualization manager. The snapshot interface then receives, from the virtualization manager, a result of the request to generate the snapshot, the result indicating whether the snapshot was generated. Finally, the snapshot interface forwards, to the application, the result of the request.

Guest-driven virtual machine snapshots

An apparatus includes a memory of a host computing device. The memory is to store at least one hypervisor. The apparatus also includes a processing device of the host computing device and operatively coupled to the memory. The processing device is to receive a request to connect the hypervisor to a virtual network, and to determine whether the hypervisor is connectable to the virtual network utilizing at least one connectivity check service. The at least one connectivity check service indicates whether one or more connectivity requirements are satisfied. The processing device is to further connect the hypervisor to the virtual network when the one or more connectivity requirements are indicated as being satisfied, and to perform a periodic connectivity check of the connection between the hypervisor and the virtual network.

Dynamic network connectivity verification in distributed virtual environments

According to one example, a method includes determining that a first virtual machine on a source node is to be migrated, selecting a first plurality of destination nodes for the first virtual machine, and simultaneously migrating the first virtual machine to each of the first plurality of destination nodes. The method further includes, after the migrating has started and before the migrating has finished, selecting one of the first plurality of destination nodes as a designated node. The method further includes discontinuing the migrating to each of the first plurality of destination nodes except the designated node.

Virtual machine migration to multiple destination nodes

A multitenant network scheme system includes a memory, a physical processor in communication with the memory, an isolated guest on a host, a virtual switch, and a network interface controller. The isolated guest includes a virtual network interface controller (vNIC). The virtual switch includes a plurality ports, which include a northbound port, a communication port, and a southbound port. The northbound port is connected to a network having a respective network name. Additionally, the northbound port is associated with a virtual local area network (VLAN). A mechanism for employing dependency graph in build projects is disclosed. A method of implementation of the disclosure includes receiving a request to change a first network entity attribute of a first network entity in a network system from a first value to a second value, the network system including the first network entity having the first network entity attribute and a second network entity having a second network entity attribute. The method can include retrieving a dependency graph of the network system, the dependency graph indicating a mapping of the first network entity and the second network entity and a dependency link between the first network entity attribute and the second network entity attribute. The method can include changing a first value of the first network entity attribute to a second value and change a third value of the second network entity attribute to the second value.
