A no-back arrangement is disclosed for use in applying a braking load to a rotary actuator member, the no-back arrangement comprising a no-back device operable to apply a braking load to the rotary actuator member when the rotary actuator member is subject to a tensile loading, and limit means operable to limit the magnitude of the applied braking load.

A torque limiter device comprises a rotatable inputhaving an input flangeassociated therewith, a rotatable outputhaving an output flangeassociated therewith, the input flangeand the output flangehaving opposing transmission pocketsformed therein, a torque transmission elementlocatable within the opposing transmission pocketsof the input and output flangesto transmit torque therebetween, at least one disengagement pocketarranged to receive the torque transmission elementwhen the torque transmission elementis in a disengaged position in which torque is not transmitted between the input flangeand the output flange, and resilient biasing meansbiasing the torque transmission elementtowards a transmission position in which it is located within the opposing transmission pockets

Torque limiter

A clutch arrangement, especially adapted for use in an aircraft nose wheel landing gear steering arrangement, includes a rotatable drive input, a rotatable output, and an epicyclic gear arrangement, and a carrier upon which the planet gears are mounted, the drive input being connected to the ring gear of the gear arrangement or the carrier, the output being connected to the other of the ring gear or the carrier, and a clutch operable to control relative rotation between the ring gear and the sun gear and to direct the major portion of the torque being transmitted therethrough the first of two transmission paths.

Clutch arrangement

An actuator is described which comprises a rotatable actuator member () and a lock arrangement () operable to lock the actuator member () against rotation, the lock arrangement () comprising an axially movable lock member (), the lock member being movable between a locked position in which it co-operates with a stop () to resist rotation of the actuator member, and a released position, and an actuation device () operable to move the lock member towards its released position.
