An example watercraft includes a hull that defines a cockpit. A scupper is provided that extends from the cockpit through an exterior surface of the hull. A recess defined by the hull is in communication with the scupper, and the recess defines a portion of a venturi tube. A plate that is attachable to the hull is configured to define another portion of the venturi tube such that when the plate is attached to the hull, a complete venturi tube is defined.

In one example, a watercraft includes a hull that defines a well extending through a bottom of the hull, a pedal-drive mechanism connected to the hull, and the pedal-drive mechanism is movable, while connected to the hull, out of the well from a deployed position to a stowed position, and a mechanism that is configured to cover a portion of the well when the pedal-drive mechanism is in the deployed position.

In one example, a watercraft includes a hull that defines a well extending through a bottom of the hull, and the hull defines an upper tray recess and a lower tray recess. A pedal-drive mechanism is connected to the hull and configured to assume both a stowed position and a deployed position, and a portion of the pedal-drive mechanism extends through the well when the pedal-drive mechanism is in the deployed position. A pedal-drive housing and attachment mechanism is provided that includes a tray configured to move between a forward position in which part of the tray resides in the lower tray recess, and an aft position in which part of the tray resides in the upper tray recess.

In one example, a watercraft includes a buoyant body in the form of a single piece structure sized and configured to support the weight of one or more users. The watercraft also includes a retractable fin connected to a pin that resides in a fixed location relative to the body, the pin including a side surface that is in contact with the body. The retractable fin is rotatable about the pin between an extended position and a retracted position, and the retractable fin includes an engagement portion that is engageable with a first portion of the body and with a second portion of the body. The retractable fin assumes the extended position when the engagement portion is releasably retained by the first portion of the body, and the retractable fin assumes the retracted position when the engagement portion is releasably retained by the second portion of the body.

In one example, a board includes a body having a single piece structure, the body including an upper surface that defines a deck, and a lower surface. The board also includes first and second retractable fins, where the first retractable fin is rotatably connected directly to the body at a first fixed location on the body such that the first retractable fin is rotatable about the first fixed location between an extended position and a retracted position, and the first retractable fin including an engagement portion that is engageable with a first portion of the body and with a second portion of the body. The first retractable fin assumes the extended position when the engagement portion is releasably retained by the first portion of the body, and the first retractable fin assumes the retracted position when the engagement portion is releasably retained by the second portion of the body.

In one example, a board suitable for use in water sports includes a body that includes an upper surface and a lower surface. The board also includes a retractable fin connected to the body and configured to assume extended and retracted positions. In the extended position, a substantial portion of the retractable fin extends below the lower surface of the body, and in the retracted position, a substantial portion of the retractable fin resides within a recess at least partly defined by the body.

A portable basketball goal system having an adjustable wheel assembly is disclosed. The portable basketball goal system may comprise a rigid pole, a support base, an adjustable wheel assembly, and an engaging member. The support base is configured to maintain the rigid pole in a generally elevated position. The adjustable wheel assembly is connected to the support base and has an engaged and disengaged position. In the engaged position, the wheel assembly supportably engages a playing surface. In the disengaged position, the wheel assembly may not supportably engage the playing surface. The adjustable wheel assembly may be slidably coupled to the support base. The adjustable wheel assembly may be operated by an engaging member coupled to a cam surface. The cam surface may interact with a follower to transition the adjustable wheel assembly between the supportable and unsupportable engagements.

An anchoring assembly for a portable basketball goal assembly is disclosed. The anchoring assembly enables the basketball goal assembly to be rigidly attached to a playing surface to stabilize the basketball goal assembly during game play. Each anchoring assembly may include an anchor fitted within an anchoring hole of the playing surface and an anchoring attachment extending through a hole in the base of the basketball goal assembly to engage the anchor. The anchoring attachment can be gripped and rotated by a user to engage or disengage the anchoring assembly. Various bracket arrangements may be used in conjunction with oversized holes in the base to permit significant variation in the positioning and orientation of the anchoring holes. Furthermore, support struts may be attached directly to such brackets to transmit force through a pathway constructed exclusively of high strength material.

An adjustable basketball goal system allowing for adjustment of the height of a basketball goal above a playing surface. The basketball goal system including a rigid support pole having a first end, a second opposing end, and an intermediate body portion disposed between the first and second ends. A first parallelogrammic structure configured to pivotally engage the first end of the rigid support. A basketball goal attached to the first parallelogrammic structure. The first deformable parallelogrammic structure may be deformed into a plurality of configurations resulting in an adjustment to the height of the basketball goal above the playing surface corresponding to each configuration. A second parallelogrammic structure, which may also be deformed into a plurality of configurations, includes a first end pivotally connected to the first parallelogrammic structure and a second opposing end configured to pivotally engage the rigid support pole. In operation, selective deformation of the second parallelogrammic structure results in selective deformation of the first parallelogrammic structure, thereby adjusting the height of the basketball goal above the playing surface. A locking mechanism may be operably disposed relative to the second parallelogrammic structure. The locking mechanism being positionable between an engaged position wherein the second parallelogrammic structure is restricted from deforming and a disengaged position wherein the second parallelogrammic structure may be freely deformed.

A portable basketball goal system having an adjustable wheel assembly is disclosed. The portable basketball goal system may comprise a rigid pole, a support base, an adjustable wheel assembly, and an engaging member. The support base is configured to maintain the rigid pole in a generally elevated position. The adjustable wheel assembly is connected to the support base and has an engaged and disengaged position. In the engaged position, the wheel assembly supportably engages a playing surface. In the disengage position the wheel assembly may not supportably engage the playing surface. Adjustable wheel engagement assembly for basketball goal systems

The invention relates to a compression crank adjustment mechanism for a basketball goal assembly that allows for adjustment of the height of a basketball goal into a plurality of configurations above a playing surface. The basketball goal assembly includes a deformable goal support structure having a first end pivotally attached to a rigid support pole. A basketball goal is preferably attached at a second opposing end of the goal support structure. An extension arm may be connected between the goal support structure and a first adjustment member preferably positioned along the back side of the support pole. A second adjustment member may be connected to the support pole and configured for threaded engagement with the first adjustment member. Preferably, the first and second adjustment members are operably disposed in compression relative to each other under the forces acting on the basketball goal assembly. An electromechanical driver operably engages an end of the first adjustment member and is configured to selectively rotate the first adjustment member relative to the second adjustment member to facilitate movement of the first adjustment member relative to the second adjustment member and thereby selectively dispose the goal support structure into any one of the plurality of configurations of height in relation to said playing surface.
