A scalable test workflow service facilitates management, automated generation and execution of numerous test cases. Test definitions representing tasks to be executed to validate a capability, parameter providers that provide metadata options, and step executors that execute the individual steps of the tasks are all specified. In response to a request to perform a test, an iterative process builds, based on the test definitions and the corresponding parameters, test instances that are executed to obtain the test results. For example, a run tests workflow initiates a test initialization workflow for each test definition. The test initialization workflows call the parameter providers to obtain parameter combinations used to create test instances, and initiate test execution workflows for each parameter combination. Each test execution workflow calls a step executor for each step of the test definition using parameters for the test instance, and returns the results. Results are aggregated and returned.

Scalable test workflow service

A system and method for facilitating automatically adjusting a user interface display screen or portion thereof. An example method includes determining context information associated with data, wherein the data is maintained in accordance with a data model; generating a signal when the context information changes; and employing the signal to automatically configure one or more characteristics of a user interface architecture, resulting in an adjusted user interface architecture. The context information may include information specifying one or more attributes relating to the data model. Generating may further include analyzing the one or more attributes to determine a modification to be made to the user interface architecture and then rendering a user interface display screen based on a modified user interface architecture.

A system and method for facilitating characterizing data to enable dynamic generation of a user interface feature based on the data. An example method includes maintaining data in accordance with a data model accessible to webpage computer code, wherein the data model is adapted to be populated with data associated with one or more data attributes in the data model; and providing a signal, identifying a data attribute, from the data model to webpage computer code to facilitate dynamic construction of one or more user interface features characterizing a rendering of a webpage. Data in the data model is characterized by one or more data attributes, each of which is associated with an attribute definition. The example method may further include organizing one or more attribute definitions in the data model as computing objects containing characterizations of the one or more data attributes.

Dynamic user interface tag format

A system generates a computer user interface by including a tag in an area of the user interface that corresponds to a task flow component. The task flow component includes a plurality of sub-pages and control flow for the sub-pages. The user interface receives the task flow component and displays a current task flow sub-page within the area of the user interface and enables the control flow.

A system and method for facilitating authoring computer code to facilitate rendering a display of data via a user interface display screen. An example method includes accepting a signal from a user input device to specify an attribute in accordance with a definition of a class of attributes in a data model; providing the specification of the attribute to a software component characterizing a webpage, wherein the software component includes an indicator for dynamic rendering of at least a portion of data included in the data model and associated with the attribute; and storing the definition of the class of attributes and data associated with the attribute, for retrieval and rendering of the data on a target device. The example method may include providing a mechanism for modifying attributes of the data model and propagating data model changes to webpage computer code.

A system that executes a user editable application includes a user interface that includes a plurality of components organized in a tree structure. The system indicates which of the plurality of components may be editable by a user of the application. The system receives editing input from the user for an editable component, and then updates the component based on the editing input.

Editing user interface components

A system generates a web page that includes a plurality of embedded data windows. The system receives a request for the web page from a browser and in response generates and displays a frame for the web page on the browser. The frame includes holes for the embedded data windows. The system also receives a data streaming request for each of the embedded data windows and determines if the data streaming requests are thread-safe. For all the data streaming requests that are thread-safe, the system generates a parallel thread to fetch the data for each corresponding data streaming requests. When the data has been fetched for a particular data streaming requests, the data is rendered and streamed to the browser where it is displayed in place of the hole by the browser.

Web page data streaming

A system that pushes active data to a client receives a first request for a page that includes active data from the client. The active data includes a component and a corresponding model for a data source of the component. The system determines if the model is active and if so, instantiates an encoder that corresponds to the component. The system queries the model for the active data and renders a user interface representation of the data. The system then returns a response to the request with the user interface representation.

A client computer has a master window and at least one slave window. The client computer receives streaming data at the master window. The master window includes a list of slave windows and the data includes an envelope that has a destination window identifier. The master window determines a destination window that corresponds to the window identifier. The master window dispatches the data to a slave window if the destination window is not the master window. Otherwise, the master window streams the data to the destination within the master window.
