A pumping-type cosmetic container having a side button, and, when pressing a button part which is positioned toward a side so as to be crossed at a right angle to a container body, a first check valve is closed while a second check valve is opened, and the contents flowing into a cylinder are discharged outward through an applicator. Therefore, with a simple structure of the pumping-type cosmetic container having a side button, a user can directly apply a fixed amount of contents to a desired region.

Airless pump dispensers for various fluids are disclosed including an airless pump mounted in a housing, a movable piston mounted for moving within the housing starting at the bottom thereof, a dispenser at the top of the housing for receiving fluid from the airless pump and dispensing it, and a spring disposed at the bottom of the housing in contact with the bottom of the movable piston and having an insufficient driving force to independently move the movable piston within the housing when the housing contains the fluid.

A dispensing closure is provided for attachment to the discharge port of a standard circular-headed tube. The closure comprises a skirt with a circular cross-sectional shape at its base that merges gradually to an oval-shaped face at its top. When the closure is attached to a standard circular-headed tube, with the long axis of the oval face oriented substantially parallel to the straight crimped edge of the filled tube, the combination of closure and tube appears to the ordinary observer to have a continuously oval cross-sectional shape throughout the length of the combination. The dispensing closure can be manufactured using typical injection-molding techniques, and may be adapted for use with dispensing mechanisms and attachment means known in the personal care products industry.

Tamper-evident closures for application to containers are disclosed. The closures include a cylindrical side wall, a series of frangible bridges, and an annular skirt, and the skirt includes on its inner wall an upper raised portion, a lower raised portion, and an indented central portion therebetween. In this manner, an annular collar on the container can be locked between these upper and lower raised portions on the annular skirt portion of the closure, and this can result in improved consistent fracture of the frangible bridges upon removal of the closure from the container.

Tamper-evident plastic closures are disclosed for use in connection with containers in which the closures include an internally threaded upper portion and a depending lower skirt portion with a number of frangible bridges connecting same. The depending lower skirt includes an inwardly projecting stop bead which can project upwardly from the inner surface of the skirt towards the lower surface of an annular collar on the container when the closure is completely threaded onto the container and to engage that lower surface when the closure is unscrewed from the container. The inwardly projecting stop bead is elongated and has a thickness along its entire length which is substantially thinner than the distance between the container finish surface below the annular collar and the inner surface of the skirt, and the inner surface of the skirt also includes a number of projections which urge the inwardly projecting stop bead towards the container finish surface to prevent removal of the closure without fracturing the bridges.
