There is described an apparatus for heating an aerosol generating material to generate an inhalable aerosol or gas. The apparatus includes a housing; a receptacle within the housing, the receptacle including one or more cavities, each cavity for containing an aerosol generating material; and a heating arrangement including one or more heater elements for heating aerosol generating material contained in the one or more cavities to generate an inhalable aerosol or gas. The one or more heater elements are located externally of the one or more cavities.

Apparatus for heating aerosol generating material

There is provided a device for generating an inhalable aerosol or gas, the device including an aerosol generating material having an integrated electrical resistance heating element, so that the aerosol generating material may be heated in direct contact with the electrical resistance heating element, wherein the aerosol generating material is provided as a unitary structure or coating which may be heated to generate multiple deliveries of an inhalable aerosol or gas. There is also provided a method for fabricating the device. There is also provided the use of the device and the use of the aerosol generating material, to generate an inhalable aerosol or gas.

The present invention relates to a cellulosic material having one or more smoke diluents within its cellular structure and, optionally, one or more smoke diluents on its surface.

Cellulosic material

The invention relates to smokable filler materials and a process for making same, the smokable filler material comprising a foaming agent, an agent capable of forming chemical cross-linkages, and a cross-linking agent. A combination of the foaming agent in the foamed state thereof, the agent capable of forming chemical crosslinkages and the cross-linking agent provides a stabilized, foamed material. The invention also provides a smoking article incorporating the smokable filler material of the invention.
