A fascia vent for a roof structure includes a fascia board for attachment along the lower ends of roof rafters that support a roof deck above an attic space. The fascia vent has an exposed outside face and an inside face at least partly exposed to the attic space. A plurality of slots are formed along the inside face of the fascia board with a lower end of the slots communicating with ambience along the bottom edge of the fascia board and an upper end of the slots communicating with the attic space. In use, hot air vented from the attic is replaced by fresh air that flows through the lower ends of the slots and into the attic space.

A baffled roll vent for covering the ridge slot of a roof for allowing ventilation from the space of a building below the ridge slot, the baffled roll vent having a first vent section having a male part and a second vent section having a female part, wherein the male part of the first vent section attaches to the female part of the second vent section. The male and female parts are preferably located at opposite edges of each vent section, allowing each vent section in the baffled roll vent to attach to the next vent section in the baffled roll vent. A center hinge allows flexing of the panel to conform to the pitch of a roof.

Baffled roll vent

A baffled roll vent for covering the ridge slot of a roof for allowing ventilation from the space of a building below the ridge slot, the baffled roll vent comprising a unitary panel defined by a length and a width, said width terminating at discrete louver portions. The center hinge allows flexing of the panel to conform to the pitch of a roof. The baffled roll vent may be used with a fibrous mat placed under the louver portions to prevent entry of particulate matter from the outside environment.

A nail gun and depth control spacer assembly for ejecting nails into a substrate which contains two or more layers of roofing materials one of which is a compressible fibrous layer. The nails penetrate the substrate but are prevented by the depth control spacer from permanently compressing the compressible fibrous layer which springs back to is original thickness after completion of the nailing process. The depth control spacer, attached to the base of the nail gun, is of semi-oval configuration having a pressure sensitive layer and a solid layer, is provided with an oval cavity in its center portion through which the nails are ejected into the substrate.

A fan fold vent for covering the opened ridge of a roof allowing ventilation of static air from an attic space of a building consisting of multiple vent sections connected by soft pliable hinges which allow the sections to fold on top of each other and form a stack for easy transportation and handling. The soft, pliable hinges are staggered at each junction of two vent sections, one hinge being on the top surface on the junction and the following hinge being on the bottom surfaces on the junction. Each vent section constitutes a unitary semi-rigid panel adjustable to the configuration of a roof and contains: a support structure on its bottom surface to prevent collapse or warping of the panel; and ventilation means for guiding air from the attic space to the exterior which includes: rows of vent slots and slats running longitudinally on two sides of the panel; and two vertical exterior baffles integral and running parallel with the rows of the slats to create a vacuum over the rows of slots and slats.

Fan fold vent

Tile vent for covering the opening of the ridge of an undulating roof. The tile vent includes two unitary panels facing each other in a mirror image fashion the top portion of which is affixed to a ridge board and the bottom portion of which is affixed to the undulating roof. The tile vent includes vent slots to allow exhaust of attic air, and reinforcing stiffeners to support ridge tiles placed over the opening in the ridge.

Tile vent

Tile roof vent for covering the opening of the ridge of an undulating tile roof. The vent includes two panels spaced from each other, each of which has a hard plastic sheet with a lower portion and an upper portion. To the underside of the lower portions are affixed an air-permeable mat and optionally a layer of foam rubber which conform to the undulating configuration of the tile roof. The lower portions of the hard plastic sheets are reinforced by stiffeners integral with the hard plastic sheet and also contain vent holes for exhausting air from the attic space.

A roof ridge ventilator made of a flexible unitary plastic panel adjustable to the configuration of various roof pitches having: Z-shaped and Y-shaped supports spaced from and alternating each other supporting the panel over the roof; ventilation means of rows of vent slots and slats running longitudinally on the two sides of the panel in which the slots and slats have trapezoidal configurations; vertical exterior baffles integral with the vent slats and running parallel thereto; and baffle extenders integral with the exterior baffles and at an angle of from about 130.degree. to about 160.degree. from the plane of the vertical exterior baffles.
