A sash lock mechanism includes a handle, a housing adapted to be supported by a sash window assembly, the housing having an opening receiving the handle therethrough, and a rotor coupled to the handle. The rotor is moveable between at least a locked position and an unlocked position by movement of the handle. The sash lock mechanism also includes a locking mechanism that contains a pivotable member pivotably connected to the housing. The pivotable member is pivotable between a first position and a second position. When the rotor is in the locked position and the pivotable member is in the first position, the pivotable member confronts the rotor to prevent movement of the rotor to the unlocked position. When the pivotable member is in the second position, the pivotable member does not prevent movement of the rotor.

Sash lock with forced entry resistance

An integrated sash lock and tilt latch assembly is mounted in a sash window having a top rail, a base, and two stiles connected together at their extremities. The integrated assembly contains a sash lock mechanism, a tilt latch mechanism, and a connector. The sash lock mechanism includes an actuator movable to adjust the assembly among a locked position, an unlocked position, and a tiltable position, and a rotor coupled to the actuator. The tilt latch mechanism includes a tilt latch housing supported by the top rail and a latch bolt slidably supported by the tilt latch housing and moveable between an extended position and a retracted position. At least a portion of the tilt latch housing has a generally circular cross-section. The connector has a first end of operably coupled to the latch bolt and a second end operably coupled to the sash lock mechanism.

Integrated tilt/sash lock assembly

A sash lock assembly is suitable for use with a sash window assembly including an upper sash window and a lower sash window slidable within a master frame, the upper sash window having a keeper connected thereto. The sash lock assembly includes a housing adapted to be mounted on the lower sash window, a cam positioned within the housing, an actuator handle, and an anti-rotation device. The housing has an opening therein. The actuator handle extends through the opening in the housing and is connected to the cam such that the actuator handle and the cam rotate together between a locked position, wherein the cam is adapted to engage the keeper, and an unlocked position, wherein the cam is adapted to disengage from the keeper. The anti-rotation device includes a protrusion positioned on the housing. When the sash lock assembly is in the locked position, the protrusion engages an engaging surface on the actuator handle to prevent rotation of the actuator handle.

Tilt-latch

A locker lock that provides for increased security and ease of use. The locker lock can be a vertical built-in lock or a horizontal built-in lock. In each case the lock is symmetrical such that it can be used in either right-handed or left-handed lockers. The locker lock provides for increased security by increasing the distance the lock bolt must travel. The locker lock also provides for an easy combination changing mechanism, such that the combination can be changed without opening the lock and the locker lock can accommodate a large number of lock combinations.

A lock device is provided for use with a truck semi-trailer. The semitrailer has a dolly wheel or landing gear system alternately configurable between a trailer support configuration and a trailer travel configuration. The lock device comprises a rigid, one-piece hollow box adapted to fit over and enclose portions of both a crankshaft and a drive shaft of a dolly wheel or landing gear system so as to prohibit movement of a crank into a crank operating position. The box has first and second adjacent but mutually perpendicular closed sides which are adapted to be located adjacent to portions of the crankshaft and the drive shaft. Third and fourth adjacent but mutually perpendicular box sides are at least partially open and are adapted to permit the crankshaft and the drive shaft to extend therethrough. Fifth and sixth mutually parallel sides are located perpendicularly to and at the edges of the first, second, third and fourth sides. These fifth and sixth sides define mutually aligned holes through which a shackle lock can be passed to secure the lock box over portions of the crankshaft and drive shaft assembly so as to prohibit the dolly wheel or landing gear system from being operated by unauthorized personnel.
