Techniques are generally described that relate to a method and system for selecting an advertisement for a subscriber of a multi-platform service operating over a transmission medium. An advertisement computer presents advertisements to the subscriber over a platform included in the multiplatform service. Each of the advertisements is associated with a geographic location. The advertisement computer may receive positive responses to the presentment of the plurality of advertisements and define a target geographic area. A plurality of local advertisement responses from the positive responses are selected by the advertisement computer. Each local advertisement response is associated with a location inside the defined target geographic area. The advertisement computer defines a positive response area based on the plurality of local advertisement responses and selects a first new advertisement. The new advertisement is associated with a location within the target geographic area and outside of the positive response area.

Methods and systems using a multi-platform targeted advertising system to select advertisements within a target geographic area

A network system for accessing situation related information is disclosed. In one embodiment, the system includes a network connection for receiving an indication of an occurrence of a situation; a situational network formed based on the occurrence of the situation, the situational network including a plurality of participant devices determined to be geographically proximate to the situation, each of the participant devices corresponding to a participant in the situational network; a second network connection for presenting a roll call query to each of the plurality of participant devices soliciting a reply related to a status of the participant; a plurality of network connections established for receiving a status response from the participant devices; and a database for aggregating the status responses from responsive participants into a roll call list.

Method and system for using a situational network

A method of creating a projection of a situational network includes creating, by an event node server, an event node in a multi-dimensional personal information network, where the event node corresponds to a situation. A projection of nodes of the situational network is formed using geographic locations of a plurality of devices corresponding to nodes in the multi-dimensional personal information network. An invitation is transmitted to establish a link with the event node server to the devices corresponding to each node in the projection. A response is received from at least one of the devices accepting the invitation to establish a link with the event node server. A link with each device accepting the invitation is established.

Technologies are generally described herein for lenticular directional displays having an image source layer and a directional layer. A control system can be configured to execute various methods for obtaining first content and second content, the first content being associated with a first viewpoint and the second content being associated with a second viewpoint. The control system can also display the first content and the second content at the image source layer adjacent to the directional layer such that the first content is visible at the first viewpoint and the second content is visible at the second viewpoint. The control system can determine that the first viewpoint or the second viewpoint has changed relative to the display, and modify at least one of the first content or the second content in response to determining that the first viewpoint or the second viewpoint has changed.

A wireless hub may automatically designate a primary display device based on characteristics of a display device. The wireless hub may cause program content to be displayed on the primary display device. The wireless hub may also cause supplemental video content to be displayed on one or more secondary display devices.

Presentation of data on multiple display devices using a wireless hub

A wireless entertainment hub may receive an indication of user relocation. The wireless entertainment hub may analyze a profile with a history of program content requested by and presented to the user. The wireless entertainment hub may cause, based on the indication and the analysis, presentation of the program content from a registered source device to a plurality of sink devices.

Data presentation in multiple zones using a wireless entertainment hub

A method of presenting still image data on multiple display devices using a wireless home entertainment hub comprises obtaining a registration of a plurality of devices with the wireless home entertainment hub, where the plurality of devices includes at least two display devices. An assignment of a zone for each display device of the at least two display devices is received. Still image data is caused to be displayed on a subset of the at least two display devices.
