A book having at least one fold out page with a display-changing device that allows the user to vary and experiment with the words, pictures or colors associated with the text, representations, characters, objects or scenes depicted in the book.

A toy comprising in combination a story media, a puppet manipulator, and puppet figures in a stage-like box. The puppet figures may represent characters objects or scenes from the story media. The puppet manipulator device is adapted to allow a user to removably attach various puppet figures to act out a play, scene or story selected from the story media using several puppet figures at the same time.

A method for loading a needle-suture combination into a package includes the steps of positioning the needle in the base portion of the package, and laying down a major portion of the suture between two V-shaped guides so as to preferably form a suture coil having generally figure 8 shaped loops. Winding pins can be used to facilitate the winding of the suture into a coiled configuration. The cover portion of the package is attached to the base by snap lock engagement. The loaded package can be thereafter be sealed in an envelope and sterilized.

Surgical suture retainer package

A package for retaining a needle-suture combination includes a cover, and a base which is connected to the cover by snap lock engagement so as to define an enclosure volume. The base has first and second V-shaped ridges, each V-shaped ridge having a vertex portion, the vertex portion of the first V-shaped ridge being in opposing relation to the vertex portion of the second V-shaped ridge so as to define a constricted space therebetween. The V-shaped ridges serve as guides for maintaining a major portion of the suture in a coiled configuration with generally figure 8 shaped loops.

A dispenser box for suture packages includes an outer casing and drawer portion slidably disposed within the outer casing. The dispenser preferably includes at least two access portals for withdrawal of the suture packages. A first access portal allows the suture packages to be withdrawn in accordance with the U.S. preferred mode, wherein the dispenser box disposed so that the suture packages are stacked in a vertical array and withdrawn horizontally. A second access portal allows the suture packages to be withdrawn in accordance with the European preferred mode, wherein the suture packages are stacked in a horizontal array and are withdrawn vertically.

Universal suture dispenser box

A surgical suture retainer retains the suture in an epitrochoidal, or hourglass configuration. One embodiment includes an insert member mounted to one of several foldable connected panels of the suture retainer. The insert member preferably has first and second wings which fold over to form a suture retaining pocket. The suture is held in a looped configuration having an hourglass shape. Another embodiment employs tabs cut from one of the panels to retain the suture in the hourglass shape. Yet another embodiment employs a cover sheet bonded to a base panel, wherein bonding areas are located to maintain the suture loop in an hourglass shape.

Suture retainer and method

An adjustable suture package retention sleeve and procedure kit is provided which supports a plurality of suture packages for sterilization and subsequent transport, storage and use. Suture package sheaths are contained within the suture package retention sleeve which is adjustable depending on the number of suture package sheaths. The adjustable suture package retention sleeve includes a first and second panel foldably interconnected along the lower edge to form a pocket for receipt of the suture package sheaths. The sleeves further contains first and second interlocking flaps formed on opposite end portions of the first panel to secure the second panel adjacent the first panel and define a pocket therebetween. The procedure kit contains a plurality of suture package sheaths each containing various types and styles of suture packages disposed therein. The adjustable suture package retention sleeve containing the suture package sheaths and suture packages, may be inserted within a pouch for sterilization and subsequently inserted in a box for transport, storage and use.
