The invention described herein generally pertains to a system and method for evaluating one or more conditions or preliminary weld condition related to a welding system and/or method that utilizes a welding sequence to perform two or more welds with respective welding schedules. In an embodiment, an operator registration is provided that verifies the operator and identifies welding sequences to which the operator is authorized to perform. In another embodiment, one or more fixture locations are monitored to determine whether a workpiece is accurately configured prior to a welding operation. In still another embodiment, locations on a workpiece can be displayed to assist an operator in performing two or more welds utilizing a welding sequence. Moreover, a wireless system communications a data signal to a welding work cell in which such data is used to identify a welding sequence.

Method for a welding sequencer

A welding machine includes a welding power supply that generates a welding waveform during a welding operation, an internal combustion engine, and a generator that is operatively connected to the welding power supply to supply electrical energy to the welding power supply. The generator includes a rotor shaft driven by the internal combustion engine, and an end casting located at an end of the generator opposite the internal combustion engine. A rotary screw compressor is mounted to the end casting of the generator. A clutch mechanism couples the rotor shaft to the rotary screw compressor to selectively drive the rotary screw compressor by the rotor shaft.

The invention described herein generally pertains to a system and method for collecting one or more welding parameters in real time during creation of one or more welds using a welding sequence. The one or more welding parameters can be associated with a particular welding sequence. Moreover, based on the one or more welding parameters collected, a modeled welding parameter can be generated to increase quality, efficiency, and the like. A collection component collects real time welding parameter data from which a quality manager component creates a modeled welding parameter. The modeled welding parameter can be employed for the welding sequence to monitor or track the welding parameter during a subsequent weld.

System and method of exporting or using welding sequencer data for external systems

The invention described herein generally pertains to a system and method for welder system that relates to creating a welding sequence for a welding environment in which the welding sequence is based upon non-real time data collected from a welding procedure. Welding procedure information is collected and utilized to create a welding sequence to perform two or more welds in which at least one parameter is based on the collected welding procedure information (e.g., non-real world welding procedure).

A welding machine includes a welding power supply. A generator is operatively connected to the welding power supply to supply electrical energy to the welding power supply. An internal combustion engine is configured to drive the generator. A chassis structure includes a divider wall that at least partially defines an engine compartment of the welding machine. A cantilevered engine-mounting shelf is cantilevered from the divider wall. The internal combustion engine is attached to the cantilevered engine-mounting shelf. A fuel tank is mounted within the chassis structure and located beneath each of the cantilevered engine-mounting shelf, the internal combustion engine and the generator.

A welding machine includes an enclosure and a welding power supply mounted in an electronics compartment within the enclosure. A divider wall at least partially defines an engine compartment. A generator is operatively connected to the power supply. An engine, located within the engine compartment, drives the generator. An engine-cooling fan is coupled to the engine. A recessed side vent is in fluid communication with the electronics compartment and recessed in a lateral side of the enclosure, and a recessed air channel is formed by the lateral side and extends rearward from the side vent along the engine compartment. The engine-cooling fan draws cooling air forward through the recessed side vent and into the electronics compartment, and downward through the electronics compartment and into the engine compartment.

An electric arc generation device includes an internal combustion engine operatively coupled to a generator, an arc generation power supply powered by the generator, an ECU configured to control a maximum power output level of the engine according to one of a low power routine and a high power routine, and a position signal receiver operatively connected to the ECU. The position signal receiver is configured to receive a position signal, generate current position information based on the position signal, and provide the current position information to the ECU. The ECU is configured to compare the current position information to predetermined region data, and automatically switch from one of the high power routine and the low power routine to a different one of the high power routine and the low power routine based on a result of the comparing, to automatically control the maximum power output level of the engine.

Systems and methods of controlling a maximum power output level of an engine-driven power source system

Embodiments of the present invention are engine drive welding and/or cutting systems which optimize the utilization of engine drive systems, including hybrid engine drive systems. Embodiments include modular systems which allow for the remote utilization of a battery powered module which can be separated from an engine drive generator power supply. Other embodiments include engine drive power supplies that can communicate with a load coupled to the power supply, such as welders, cutters and wire feeders to determine an optimum operational level. Further embodiments include engine drive power supplies that can be coupled together to optimize fuel and system usage.

Engine drive welder and methods and systems of controlling the same

A system and method are disclosed for securing a welding device where functionality of the welding device can be limited or restricted due to an electronic signal between a lock component and an activation device. The activation device can be paired with the welding device, and in turn, the lock component, in which an electronic signal is communicated there between. Based upon whether the electronic signal is received by the lock component and the welding device, the lock device can be configured to de-activate or prevent a power supply (e.g., motor, generator, energy storage device, etc.) of the welding device from activating.
