A method includes receiving, through a vertical polarization port of an orthogonal-mode transducer (OMT), a vertical polarized signal from a vertical polarization diplexer, and receiving, through a horizontal polarization port of the OMT, a horizontal polarized signal from a horizontal polarization diplexer. The method also includes receiving, through a common port of the OMT, a circular polarized signal comprising the vertical and horizontal polarized signals. The common waveguide includes a septum polarizer configured to split or combine between the circular polarized signal, and the vertical polarized signal and the horizontal polarized signal.

Ortho-mode transducer and diplexer

A port isolator for an antenna having a horizontal polarization input port and a vertical polarization input port includes a first signal coupler, a signal adjuster, and a second signal coupler. The first signal coupler is configured to sample a signal received on one of the input ports of the antenna. The signal adjuster is electrically coupled to the first signal coupler. The second signal coupler is electrically coupled to the signal adjuster and the other one of the input ports of the antenna. The signal adjuster is configured to adjust a phase and an amplitude of the sampled signal based on a leakage power and a leakage phase of a leakage signal from the input port receiving the signal to the other input port. The adjusted sampled signal substantially cancels out the leakage power and leakage phase from the input port receiving the signal to the other input port.

Isolating dual polarized patch antennas

A method receiving an input signal at radio circuitry, sampling the input signal, and determining a power level of the sampled input signal. The radio circuitry includes an input switch having an input, a first output, and a second output. The input switch is configured to switch between the first output for the receive mode and the second output for the transmit mode. The method also includes determining whether the power level of the sampled input signal is greater than a threshold power level. When the power level of the sampled input signal is greater than the threshold power level, the method includes switching the input switch to the second output for the transmit mode. When the power level of the sampled input signal is less than or equal to the threshold power level, the method includes switching the input switch to the first output for the receive mode.

Transmitter signal time and frequency division duplexing

A multi-sector antenna system is disclosed that includes two or more flat panel antennas facing different directions and configured to communicate with two separate sites using millimeter wave RF signals. A processing module is communicatively coupled to each of the flat panel antennas. In some embodiments, the processing module may be configured to receive incoming RF signals from a first site via a first flat panel antenna, convert the incoming RF signals to outgoing RF signals, and transmit the outgoing RF signals to a second site via the second flat panel antenna. The flat panel antennas may be configured to transmit and receive RF signals at frequencies in the range of about 57 GHz to 86 GHz. The multi-sector antenna system may be utilized in a mesh network system.

Multi sector antenna and mesh network system

A communication system providing wireless communication among wireless users through a number of cellular base stations, each including at least transport management equipment and broadband equipment, at least one of which supports at least remote cellular station including RF equipment for communication with users of cellular devices. The system includes at lease one wireless narrow beam communication link operating at millimeter wave frequencies in excess of 60 GHz connecting a remote cellular station with a cellular base station equipped with broad band conversion electronic equipment and transport management equipment. In preferred embodiment the communication system includes a large number of remote cellular stations with each remote cellular station serving a separate communication cell. Each remote cellular station is equipped with a low frequency wireless transceiver for communicating with the wireless users within the cell at a radio frequency lower than 6 GHz and a narrow beam millimeter wave wireless transceiver operating at a millimeter wave frequency higher than 60 GHz for communicating with another millimeter wave transceiver at another remote cellular station or a millimeter wave transceiver at a base station.

Cellular systems with distributed antennas

A lens-based millimeter wave transceiver for use in wireless communication systems operating in the E-band spectrum consistent with the FCC rules regulating the 71-76 GHz and 81-86 GHz bands. The transceiver includes a single lens adapted for transmission of millimeter radiation to form communication beams in one band of either a band of about 71-76 GHz or a band of 81-86 GHz and for collection and focusing of millimeter wave radiation from communication beams in the other of the two bands. It includes a feed horn adapted to broadcast millimeter radiation through said single lens and to collect incoming millimeter wave radiation collected and focused by said single lens. A millimeter wave diplexer separates incoming and outgoing millimeter wave radiation.
