A multi-joint hinge includes a base part, on which a door bearing is held pivotably via a lever mechanism with a plurality of levers which are mounted in the manner of a parallelogram. A damping element for braking a closing movement and a spring element for tightening the door bearing in a closing area in the closing direction are arranged within the multi-joint hinge. The damping element and the spring element are connected in parallel.

The invention relates to a sliding door fitting for the coupling of a door, which is fastened to at least one hinge, of a refrigerator to a door, which is fastened to at least one further single- or multi-axis hinge, of a furniture carcass in which the refrigerator is installed, wherein the sliding door fitting has a guide element and a slider guided by the guide element, and wherein the guide element can be arranged on one of the doors and the slider can be arranged on the other of the doors. The sliding door fitting is distinguished by having at least one damping device for damping a relative movement between the slider and the guide element over at least one defined portion of the relative movement.

A domestic appliance, such as a refrigerator, is configured to be fitted into a furniture body. The furniture body includes a front furniture panel disposed on a front face of a domestic appliance door and includes a pivot joint. The front furniture panel is connected to the front face of the domestic appliance door. A damping device is located between and operatively connected to the domestic appliance door and the front furniture panel. The domestic appliance door is configured as a sliding door which moves relative to the front furniture panel during an opening and closing movement of the domestic appliance door and the front furniture panel.

A hinge includes a first mounting part defining first and second ends, a second mounting part defining third and fourth ends, a first articulated lever defining fifth and sixth ends, a second articulated lever defining seventh and eighth ends, a third articulated lever defining ninth and tenth ends, and a fourth articulated lever defining eleventh and twelfth ends. The fifth end pivotally connects between the first end and the second end. The sixth end pivotally connects to the tenth end. The ninth end pivotally connects to the fourth end. The third end pivotally connects to the eleventh end. The second end pivotally connects to the seventh end. The eighth end pivotally connects between the ninth end and the tenth end. The twelfth end pivotally connects between the seventh end and the eighth end. A protective plate covers at least a portion of the plates and levers.
