In an anti-biofouling context, an anti-biofouling system () is provided, which is configured to emit anti-biofouling light in an activated state thereof and to be applied to an object (). Further, the anti-biofouling system () comprises a sensor system () that is configured to obtain measurement data relating to at least one structural feature of an anti-biofouling arrangement () including both the anti-biofouling system () and the object () in an actual case of the anti-biofouling system () being in place on the object (). By having the sensor system () as mentioned in the anti-biofouling system (), it is achieved that one or more structural aspects of the anti-biofouling arrangement () may be checked/monitored without a need for providing separate means for fulfilling such functionality.

Assessing at least one structural feature of an anti-biofouling arrangement

The invention provides an anti-biofouling system (200) comprising an UV-emitting element (210), wherein the UV-emitting element (210) comprises a UV radiation exit window (230), wherein the UV-emitting element (210) at least partly encloses a light source (220) configured to provide UV radiation (221), wherein the UV radiation exit window (230) is configured to transmit at least part of the UV radiation (221) of the light source (220), wherein the UV radiation exit window (230) comprises an upstream window side (231) and a downstream window side (232), wherein the UV-emitting element (210) also at least partly encloses an optical sensor (310) configured to sense radiation (421) emanating from the downstream window side (232) and configured to provide a corresponding optical sensor signal, wherein the anti-biofouling system (200) is further configured to provide said UV radiation (221) in dependence of said optical sensor signal.

Integrated system for real-time anti-fouling and biofouling monitoring

A system for treating a part of a body to be treated includes a hand-held treating device and a position identifier configured to generate information indicative of the position of the treating device relative to the part of the body to be treated. A controller is configured to determine a path and/or angle of orientation of the treating device relative to the part of the body to be treated in dependence of the information generated by the position identifier. System and a method for treating a part of a body

The present application relates to a system for treating a part of a body to be treated. In particular, the present invention relates to a system for cutting hair on a part of a body to be treated. The system has a hand-held treating device having a treating unit. The system also has an imaging module configured to generate information indicative of the position of the treating device relative to the part of the body to be treated based on an image of a part of the body and the treating device. A controller is configured to change an operating characteristic of the treating device in dependence on the information generated by the imaging module. The present application also relates to a treating device configured to be used in a system as described above and a method for treating a part of a body to be treated.

A light output device comprises a first and a second substrate arrangement (), the first substrate arrangement () comprising a light output surface of the device. An electrode arrangement () is sandwiched between the substrate arrangements and at least one light source () is connected to the electrode arrangement. The first substrate () arrangement comprises a light diffuser for changing the level of uniformity of the light output from the light source and the second substrate () arrangement comprises a light scattering or reflecting layer. This arrangement uses a scattering substrate arrangement for the substrate from which illumination is provided. An electrophoretic display panel for displaying a picture has a pixel having an electrophorectic medium having first and second charged particles, the first charged particles having a first optical property, the second charged particles having a second optical property different from the first optical property, and an optical state depending on positions of the particles. Furthermore, particle movement apparatus is arranged to enable a picture movement of the first and the second particles to their respective position for displaying the picture, and particles movement decoupling apparatus is arranged to provide unequal abilities of the first and the second particles to move for substantially decoupling the picture movement of the first particles from the picture movement of the second particles.
