A fresh gas supply device for an internal combustion engine having an exhaust gas turbocharger includes a charge air inlet for taking in a compressed charge air flow from the exhaust gas turbocharger; an outlet which is connected to the charge air inlet via a valve section, said valve section being closed in a closed position by at least one flap valve which can be pivoted, preferably, about a flap rotational axis; an adjusting device which is coupled to the at least one flap valve for adjusting the same in the closing direction; and a compressed air inlet for taking in compressed air into the outlet. The compressed air inlet is arranged such that the compressed air is directed into a compressed air flow in the direction of the valve section to the at least one flap valve. A corresponding method for operating the fresh gas supply device is provided.

An exhaust gas turbocharger for an internal combustion machine, in particular a diesel engine, having an unburnt mixture supply device, includes at least one compressor; at least one exhaust gas turbine; a turbocharger shaft by which the compressor and the exhaust gas turbine are rotationally fixedly coupled; and an energy store for increasing a mass moment of inertia. The energy store is rotationally fixedly coupled to the at least one compressor and the at least one exhaust gas turbine by the turbocharger shaft. An arrangement for supplying unburnt gas to an internal combustion machine includes such an exhaust gas turbocharger and an unburnt gas supply device.

A compressor system for a vehicle includes a compressor driven by a drive motor of the vehicle and a suction air conduit for supplying air that has already been precompressed by a turbocharger of the drive motor to the compressor. A mechanism is disposed in the suction air guide for reducing the flow cross-section. The mechanism is able to limit the charging pressure of the already precompressed air supplied to the compressor. A method for controlling a compressor system having a turbocharged compressor limits a charging pressure of the already precompressed air to an adjustable maximum value.

A compressed-air system for supplying a compress-air injection module of a turbocharged internal combustion engine and the pneumatic systems of the vehicle comprises a compressor is provided. According to the invention, a fresh gas line section of an intake manifold has an adjustable flap, and inlet and outlet ports. An adjustment device is coupled to the flap for adjusting the flap. A compressed air port having an opening leading into a chamber of the fresh gas line between the flap and the outlet is provided, and a quantity regulating device with a valve to control the compressed air is also provided. An electronic control unit controls the quantity regulating device and the adjustable flap, so that the fully opened position of the flap corresponds to a fully blocked position of the quantity regulating device.

Air-demand-controlled compressor arrangement, particularly for commercial vehicles, includes a motor unit for generating a rotating movement which, by way of an interposed rotational-speed-transmitting transmission unit, drives a compressor unit for generating compressed air from ambient air. A control unit triggers the generating of compressed air in the case of a compressed-air demand. The transmission unit is constructed in the manner of a transmission whose rotational speed can be varied, and the control unit interacts with the transmission unit in order to adapt the rotational speed of the transmission unit corresponding to the compressed-air demand.
