A dosage-dispensing device for dosage material in powder- or paste form includes a holder device and at least one receiving device. At least one dosage-dispensing unit can be set into, as well as removed from, this receiving device. The dosage-dispensing device further includes at least one actuator whose action is directed at the receiving device. The receiving device is pivotably supported on the holder device with the freedom of performing a pendulous movement. The actuator can generate oscillatory pendulous movements of the receiving device.

A receiving device in a dosage-dispensing device, which serves to receive any insertion unit that can be inserted in the receiving device, includes a plurality of support arms that are arranged parallel to each other and extend in their lengthwise direction substantially orthogonal to the direction of gravity. At least two support arms are arranged in planes lying above one another relative to the direction of gravity. Each support arm includes at least one support location, so that, when the dosage-dispensing device is in its operating state, the insertion unit can be supported through the support locations against the force of gravity. Each support arm includes at least one protrusion which serves to position the insertion unit in a plane that extends orthogonal to the direction of gravity. The main dimension of the protrusion is directed essentially against the direction of gravity. When the insertion unit is inserted in the receiving device, the protrusions reach into recesses that are formed on the insertion unit.

A draft protection device for a balance, which encloses a weighing compartment surrounding a weighing pan, has at least one opening that can be closed by a window. The at least one window has at least two slidable window sections which partially overlap each other in any of their positions. According to the invention, a drive mechanism is provided for the opening and closing of the window, which drive mechanism couples the window sections to each other in such a way that all of the window sections move simultaneously and at different speeds during the opening and closing, wherein a fixed ratio between the respective speeds of the window sections can be predetermined by design.

Draft protection device for a balance

A balance includes a weighing cell with a vertically movable load receiver, a weighing pan to receive a weighing load, and a support element to couple the weighing pan to the vertically movable load receiver of the weighing cell. A cantilever arm with a seat for at least one calibration weight is solidly connected to the support element. The balance has a coupling arrangement that constrains the support element with low-friction mobility to the load receiver at three points forming a triangle in a plane that extends orthogonal to the symmetry plane of the weighing cell, wherein the triangle is symmetric to the symmetry plane of the weighing cell. Under the coupling arrangement, the support element is solidly supported on the load receiver in the direction in which the weighing load is acting.

A balance () with a weighing pan () inside a weighing compartment () enclosed by a draft shield () has at least one thermoelectric module () that is arranged outside of the weighing compartment () and thermally connected to a stationary part of the balance (). At least one vertical wall () of the draft shield () has a lower end portion in thermal connection with the thermoelectric module (). The vertical wall () is configured in such a way that a temperature gradient develops in the vertical wall (), wherein the temperature increases from the bottom to the top of the wall ().

A balance () has a weighing compartment () that borders on a stationary part () of the balance and is otherwise enclosed by at least one side wall panel (), a front wall panel (), and a top cover panel (). At least one of the panels is slidable by means of a guiding device () to open and close the weighing compartment (). The balance () further has cutout passages () in the side wall panels (), the front wall panel (), the top cover panel (), and/or the rear wall of the weighing compartment, so that cables and/or conduits can be introduced from the outside into the weighing compartment.

A balance is connectable to a display/operating unit () through a cable (). The display/operating unit () can be placed either adjacent to the housing () or at a distance from the housing (). For storing the unused length of cable (), a corridor compartment () with at least one exit opening () for the cable () is arranged at the bottom () of the balance housing (). When the cable () is pulled out or pushed in, it can move freely inside the corridor compartment (). The display/operating unit () is held in place at the balance housing () by means of an intermediate member () in an arrangement where the balance and the display/operating unit are resting independently of each other on a supporting surface.

The holder arrangements ( ) releasably connect the panels ( ) to the balance by means of form-locking closure devices, so that each panel ( ) can be attached to the balance as well as released for removal from the balance by applying a force to the panel ( ) and/or the holder arrangement ( ).

A support device for a weighing cell is mounted on one or more support posts resting on support springs that are connected to a stationary chassis and are pre-tensioned with an upward force. In case of a downward-directed shock, the support springs will yield to the inertial shock force and allow the weighing cell to move downward. The support posts can lift off from their resting places on the support springs, but are constrained by guide members to a limited range of upward vertical movement. A balance equipped with the support device has a low profile height and protects the weighing cell from downward- as well as upward-directed shocks.

A dryer mounted in a housing with a balance for determining the moisture content of material to be weighed which is in a dish placed in the balance and is subjected to a heat source. The dish is placed in a dish support device which can be placed in and removed from the dryer together with the dish. The dish can be inserted into the dish support device and removed from the dish support device manually and from the side. An upwardly bent inner edge of a support ring prevents impurities resting on the support ring from unintentionally dropping into the dish.

A weighing scale housing has a top cover wall removably fastened to the housing rear wall, whereby after the top wall has been unfastened and removed from the rear wall, the transparent side and front walls of the housing may be removed from the housing base for cleaning.

A top or side wall of a weighing scale housing includes a plurality of relatively movable segments that are slidably displaceable between closed and open positions, thereby to afford access to a weighing chamber defined within the housing, at least the longitudinal edge portions of the segments being in continuous overlapping relation. The end portions of the segments are guided within guide grooves formed in the housing wall on opposite sides of an access opening contained therein. Catch devices connected with the longitudinal edges of successive segments are engaged upon displacement of a first segment relative to the housing, thereby to effect corresponding displacement of a second segment.

A weighing scale housing (9) includes a base (21), vertical front (19), rear (17), and side (23,25) walls cooperating with the base to define a weighing chamber (3) containing a movable weighing pan (5), characterized in that at least one of the side walls includes a plurality of planar side wall segments (27, 29; 31, 33) arranged at an obtuse angle, the one side wall being mounted for movement along an arcuate path between an open position affording access to the weighing pan, and a closed position closing the weighing chamber. When in the open position, the side wall is adjacent the rear wall, and when in the closed position, the forward vertical edge (51,53) of one segment engages the rear surface of the front wall, and the rear vertical edge portion (55, 57) of the other segment engages an end portion of the rear wall, thereby tightly sealing the weighing chamber.

A vessel holding device is composed of a sheet metal strip which is bent to form a polygon. The resulting side wall members are provided with bores or recesses for holding the vessels, such as, test tubes or syringe cylinders in a predetermined manner. The vessel holding device can be used standing on one of the side wall members or on the upper or lower edges of the device.
