Method for the temperature control of components

Temperature-control system used for heating or cooling in a method for controlling temperature of a component includes connected temperature-control device, temperature-control arrangement, supply line, and return line. The system additionally has a controller having a valve, an actuator, a supply temperature sensor, and a return temperature sensor. A temperature difference between the supply temperature and the return temperature of a fluid circulating in the system is registered using the supply temperature sensor and the return temperature sensor and also a regulator. Proceeding from this temperature difference, the regulator causes the actuator to set a degree of opening of the valve so the temperature difference is in a selected value range. The valve always has a minimal degree of opening in the open state.

The application relates to a control device comprising a control element that can be rotated on a first functional level, an electronic controller, an electric power supply, and a base for mounting the control device. Said control device is designed to control plumbing appliances comprising a water discharge point and an electronically controlled mixing valve that has a cold water connection and a hot water connection. The flow or the temperature of the water discharged from the water discharge point can be changed by rotating the control element. The control device according to the invention is characterized in that the control element can be moved onto a second functional level by performing a lifting movement, said second functional level extending parallel to and at a distance from the first functional level. Furthermore, the control device comprises a spring element which elastically retains the control element on the first functional level, the control element being movable onto the second functional level against the resistance of the spring element. The temperature or the flow of the water discharged from the water discharge point can be changed by rotating the control element on the second functional level.

A method and a computer program product controls the water supply in a sanitary installation having a cold water supply line and a hot water supply line, a valve battery, which is connected to a power supply, and a sensor unit connected to the power supply. At least one trigger means outputs an action signal to an electronic controller when activated by a user by tapping on the trigger means that is embodied as a switch or by at least partially penetrating into the detection area of a trigger means that is embodied as a proximity sensor.

Method for controlling the water supply in a sanitary installation

The invention relates to a device () for controlling and/or regulating the supply of a medium using a supply unit for an impingement device. Said supply unit comprises at least one shut-off member and each shut-off member can be moved into a closed position and at least one open position by means of an actuating element. The device comprises a sensor unit () for determining in a contactless manner the presence of a material that is to be impinged by the medium. The inventive device () is characterized in that said sensor unit () is additionally configured for the contactless determination of the relative position of the material in relation to the impingement device () and for the output of signals, which act on the actuating elements in such a way that the later moves the shut-oft members into a position that corresponds with the presence and the location of the material to be impinged by the medium. The washing and/or drying devices () preferably comprise a device () of this type for controlling and/or regulating the supply of water and/or warm air for washing and/or drying purposes. The invention also relates to a corresponding method.

A water supply for sanitary devices has a sensor, is activatable without contact, has a first capacitor with first and second conductive layers and a dielectric layer positioned there-between. A second capacitor having a first and second electrically conductive layers and a dielectric layer there-between. An AC voltage generator is electrically connected to the second layer of the first capacitor for coupling an AC voltage. The supply has a sensor amplifier for amplifying an output signal and the first layer is shared by the capacitors and has a shared absorption area. Upon approach or contact of an object or a liquid, an additional capacitor is formed whose effective capacitance experiences a detectable change that is tapped at the second layer.

A method for generating an electrical signal and a sensor device ( ) for executing the method. The signal is generated because of a change in a fluid-filled space. A sensor element ( ) of the sensor device ( ) detects the heat transfer over time between the sensor element ( ) and the fluid. The sensor element ( ), which has a temperature-dependent electrical conductivity and to which a voltage has been applied, is brought to a temperature which lies outside the range of the fluid temperatures. In the passive phase, the fluid is brought to a constant passive temperature by a heat transfer between the sensor element ( ) and the surroundings. The sensor device ( ) provides a constant passive output voltage. A heat transfer between the sensor element ( ) and its surroundings takes place in the active phase by changes in the fluid-filled space. The sensor device ( ) provides an active output voltage, which is different from the passive output voltage. When a difference between the output voltages is exceeded, the signal is generated. The device can be used for triggering the flushing action in sanitary installations, and for keeping a level constant, for example in aquarium installations.
