The present invention relates to a golf club bag having a club separating collar having a plurality of openings therein for receiving individual golf clubs therein. The collar has a plurality of color coded areas or zones, each area surrounding a plurality of openings in the collar to identify golf club types to allow the rapid removal and placement of a golf club to and from a predetermined area. Each golf club has color coding thereon, such as on the shaft adjacent the golf club head, to match one of the area colors on the golf bag collar for rapid identification of the golf clubs. The golf club collar can include a self-lubricating polymer TEFLON insert placed in each opening within the collar to prevent damage to the golf club shaft on inserting and removing a golf club from the golf club bag.

Golf club bag and club apparatus

A smoke generator apparatus and method are provided in which the apparatus has a pump connected to a reservoir of liquid smoke agent and to an electrical resistance heating tube incorporated into an electrical circuit. The electrical resistance heater tube has first and second end portions. The first end portion has an inside tube diameter larger than the second end portion inside tube diameter. The heating tube is activated by a control circuit for activating the pump and the electrical circuit to thereby heat the electrical resistance heating tube and pump a fluid from a reservoir into the heating tube. A pressure relief valve located between the pump and the electrical resistance heating tube input portion helps control the pressure and works in combination with the multisized heating tube to allow a low thermal mass of heater for use of a high temperature smoke agent which can be used in an open flame environment. A method is provided which selects the smoke generator of the apparatus, activates the electric circuit of the selected smoke generator apparatus to thereby activate the electrical resistance heating tube to begin heating the tube, and activating the pump to pump the liquid smoke agent initially through a pressure relief valve and then upon heating up into the electrical resistance heating tube to produce smoke out the heating tube orifice.

Smoke generator method and apparatus

A smoke generator apparatus and method are provided in which the apparatus has a pump connected to a source of liquid smoke agent and to an electrical resistance heating tube incorporated into an electrical circuit. The heating tube has a smoke outlet orifice and a temperature sensor located adjacent the orifice. A switch control circuit has a connection to the temperature sensor and controls the start-up and shut-down operation of the smoke generator by the activation of the pump, electrical resistance heating tube, and the turning on and off of a fluid injector circuit and an air blower for cooling the heater tube. The fluid injector has a source of fluid connected to the heater tube adjacent the orifice and has a valve for activating the flow of fluid from the source of fluid into the heater tube during start-up and shut-down of the smoke generator. The method includes selecting the smoke generating apparatus, switching on the apparatus to activate the gas injector to inject gas into one end of the heater tube and to activate the pump to pump a liquid smoke agent into the heater tube to generator smoke. The air blower activated to cool down the heater tube at shut-down and the fluid injector again injects a fluid, such as a nitrogen gas, into the heater tube at shut-down.

A breathing bag apparatus and simulator is disclosed that has a circuitous and continuous tube within its bag(s) communicating outside air from an inlet filter and carbon-dioxide-conversion canister to the inhalation fixture of the user's facemask. A permanent carbon-monoxide-conversion cylinder forms part of the path of the tube within the bag(s). The cylinder uses porous ceramic pellets to host a coating of platinum as its catalytic noble metal.

Oxygen breathing apparatus simulator

A valve within an oxygen breathing apparatus (OBA) simulator to simulate the loss of oxygen supply that occurs in an operational OBA when the user accidentally deflates the bag(s), such as by impact. The valve is within the tubular conduit inside the simulator's airbag and is held in its open position when the airbag is inflated by a cord attached to the inner surface of the bag, but is spring loaded to close and block the oxygen path through the conduit when the attachment cord is slackened.

Oxygen breathing bag simulator

A mechanical apparatus for training is disclosed that reduces the flow of r or oxygen in an oxygen breathing apparatus (OBA) to simulate the effects of an empty oxygen canister. A timer mechanism is coupled to a butterfly valve in the air passageway of the OBA. After a preselected period of time that corresponds to the alarm setting on an operational OBA that signifies a low-oxygen status, the timer mechanism begins to wind the valve into its closed position.

Timed oxygen breathing apparatus trainer

A series of perforated plates are placed in alignment with a horizontally sposed burner tube and canted to spread the flame from the burner both axially and transverse the axis of the tube. Each perforation is accompanied by an upper scoop that extends downward and toward the tube to direct some of the upward flowing flame through the perforation. Thereby, the flame is spread in both length and width to cover a larger grating surface above the tube.

A smoke generator apparatus has a housing with an electrical pump mounted in the housing and connected to a fluid reservoir filled with a fluid for generating smoke. A coiled electical resistance heating tube is mounted in the housing and forms an electrical resistance in an electrical circuit. The coiled electrical resistance heating tube has a thin coating of an electrical insulating, thermal conducting material, such as a thin coating of boron nitride thereon which electrically isolates the coils of the coiled electrical resistance heating tube while conducting heat through the coils from the hot to the cold end of the coiled electrical resistance heating tube. The coiled electrical resistance heating tube has one end operatively connected to the pump and the other end forming an outlet for dispensing superheated vapors into the ambient air for condensation into smoke particles. A pair of thermostats is mounted at different positions on the coated coiled electrical resistance heating tube for sensing the temperature therein for controlling heater temperature and actuating the pump for pumping the fluid from the reservoir into the resistance heating tube for generating the smoke.

Smoke generator

A high output smoke generator suitable for use as a portable apparatus emys a thin-walled metal conduit as a resistance heater coil which also doubles as a thermal sensor. A balance bridge controller using the coil as one leg in the bridge network, is electrically coupled to provide current to the resistance heater coil for maintaining the coil at a predetermined temperature. A thermocouple used for calibration is electrically isolated from the coil by a beryllium oxide disk. Also, disclosed are a fluid reservoir and pump to provide smoke generating fluid to the coil after an adjustable time delay from startup, and a timer to shutdown operation after a preselected period.

Electric smoke generator

A recoil simulator is disclosed in which one end of a flexible cable is ached to a weapon and the other end to a system comprising a rotating shaft and a clutch. As the trigger of the weapon is pulled a signal is produced which activates the clutch. The clutch creates a sudden pull on the end of the flexible cable simulating recoil.

A smoke generator and system for its employment is disclosed wherein a sm is generated from a liquid smoke producing agent when the liquid is vaporized by pressurized 1000.degree. F. air which has been heated in an electrical resistance coil. The systematic application requires modular use of the electrical resistance coils through an area to provide smoke from a variety of origins in accordance with the control exercised from a centrally located control panel. The smoke producing agent, the pressurized air, and the electrical current are supplied to each module via said control panel.

A resistance tube type smoke generator utilizes a plurality of tube secti, each having a distinct cross-sectional area and electrical resistivity to provide both storage and vaporization via prolonged differential heating of a smoke producing agent. Thermal control may be exercised by sensing change in resistivity of the entire tube or by thermostatic sensors attached to the tubing sections.

Portable smoke generator

A training device simulating a personal breathing apparatus utilizes high pressure air canisters mounted within the breathing bags of a modified operational breathing apparatus. Air is supplied to the trainee through a plurality of regulators and valves via an air passage opened by a mechanical actuation linkage, which simulates the actual actuation device and technique.

Simulated oxygen breathing apparatus

A training canister for use with a personal breathing apparatus supplements filtered air with oxygen supplied by an internal cylinder. The canister has an integral filter providing airflow to the breathing apparatus, and utilizes a miniature high pressure valve to release supplemental oxygen into the system from an oxygen cylinder charged to up to 2000 psi. The training canister simulates operational equipment in size, shape, integration to the personal breathing apparatus, and actuation.

Oxygen breathing apparatus simulator using supplemental oxygen

A smoke generator utilizes a boiler chamber within which a mixture of water nd liquid smoke generant are heated above the boiling point of water, thereby producing free steam confined within the chamber. The steam and heated liquid are independently removed from the chamber and recombined at optimum pressure and flow in a special atomizing nozzle to generate a smoke of particulate size under ten microns.
