The part of the device undergoes a change in a measurable variable in the event of a change in the mechanical states of stress. The part of the device is a layer which is deposited on the component and which has a layer structure containing less than 8% by weight of phosphorous, preferably up to 3% by weight of phosphorous, up to 2% by weight of an element of main group IV or V, in particular antimony, and up to 5% by weight of a transition metal element, in particular cobalt. The weight percentages resulting from the sum are increased up to 100% with nickel. The layer modifies the magnetic flux in a coil arrangement comprising at least one coil, and the change in the magnetic flux in the coil arrangement is evaluated and the mechanical state of stress of the component are deduced from the change in the magnetic flux.

During acceleration, the seismic mass acts in each individual transducer a magnetoelastic measuring layer, the permeability .mu..sub.r of which influences the inductance of a sensor coil. For each spacial direction in which the acceleration is to be determined, a pair of transducers is mounted on a base member coaxially to, and axially spaced from, each other in such a way that an acceleration of the acceleration sensor perpendicular to the axial direction of the sensor coils of the two individual transducers causes an equidirectional variation in inductances of the sensor coils of the two individual transducers, and a signal representing the acceleration status is obtained in at least one evaluation electronics form the inductances of the sensor coils.

A device for adjusting a nominal value of the dimension of an actuator, the longitudinal dimension of which can be changed by applying an external electromagnetic or electrostatic field, the magnitude of the external electromagnetic or electrostatic field being associated with the longitudinal dimension of the actuator, or soft-magnetic and highly magnetoelastic layer being connected to the actuator in such a manner that a change in length of the actuator produces a change in the mechanical stress in the layer. The change in mechanical stress in the layer produces a change in the value of an inductance, the mechanical stress in the layer being inferred from the magnitude of the inductance in sensor electronics and the longitudinal dimension of the actuator being inferred from the mechanical stress in the layer. The longitudinal dimension of the actuator is compared with a predetermined nominal value in a comparison device and a correcting variable is output by a control device when a difference between the longitudinal dimension of the actuator and the predetermined nominal value is detected by the comparison device. The correcting variable is predetermined in such a manner that the detected difference disappears.

The present invention relates to a loudspeaker diaphragm which is provided with a rear load and the vibration characteristic of which is improved in that the work to be performed for compressing the air behind the loudspeaker diaphragm is reduced. For this purpose, the loudspeaker diaphragm is provided with openings so that the air located behind the loudspeaker diaphragm can escape. At the same time, the introduction of the openings causes a decoupling of the vibrating diaphragm parts with respect to the frequency response when the loudspeaker diaphragm and the openings are suitably dimensioned, so that it is predominantly the inner part of the loudspeaker diaphragm which vibrates in the case of high notes, while the entire loudspeaker diaphragm vibrates in the case of low notes.

A magnetoelastic force-measuring device is proposed which has an annular thrust body possessing magnetostrictive properties and bearing a ring coil. To enhance the measuring sensitivity in conjunction with simultaneous good thermal error compensation, a sleeved tension body, likewise possessing magnetostrictive properties and bearing a ring coil, is arranged coaxially in the annular thrust body to fit in such a way that, given the introduction of a force, the one body is subjected to thrust and the other to tension. In this connection, the magnetostrictive properties are formed by a soft magnetic measuring film--preferably of amorphous metal--which applied in each case to the body, and the two ring coils are connected up to make an inductive half-bridge.

Magnetoelastic force-measuring device

A loudspeaker is disclosed with a diaphragm and an annular moving coil fastened to the diaphragm. An annular permanent-magnet system is arranged concentrically relative to the moving coil and is fastened to a support. To obtain a high-power and extremely slim system, the moving coil surrounds the permanent-magnet system with only a small air gap and, on its outer surface, carries a thin-walled annular core of amorphous metal. The permanent-magnet system consists of two permanent-magnet rings spaced from one another by means of a soft-mangetic annular intermediate disc and having like poles facing one another.

A device for the contactless indirect electrical measurement of the torque at a shaft utilizing the Matteucci effect in which the shaft is located in an induced magnetic direct-axis field. Upon torsion of the shaft, the change in magnetization in the shaft itself is not measured, but rather a measuring layer applied to the shaft is metrologically detected by the device. In order to avoid disturbing influences from the basic magnetization of the shaft on the measuring layer, a further layer is applied to the shaft, which short-circuits the magnetic flux resulting from the basic magnetization of the shaft, the measuring layer being magnetically decoupled from the inner layer by a highly nonmagnetic layer between the inner, further layer and the measuring layer.

Device for the contactless indirect electrical measurement of the torque

A device is provided for the indirect contactless electrical measuring of short distances, particularly for measuring the stroke and/or the position of nozzle needles for injection nozzles of internal combustion engines. A coil having a solid core of a soft-magnetic alloy is used as magnetic field sensor and a low-mass permanent magnet. The permanent magnet is rigidly connected to a moving control element. The nozzle needle is fixed to the control element. Movement of the permanent magnet in relation to the coil causes a change in the magnetic flux density in the core of the coil and, via the nonlinear function B=f(H) of the mangetization curve, effects a change in the dynamic permeability and consequently in the inductance of the coil. The change in inductance of the coil is converted by a suitable electronic evaluating circuit into a path-analogue signal to determine the distance between the fixed coil and the movable permanent magnet. Thus, movement of the nozzle needle which is fixed in relation to the permanent magnet can be precisely monitored.
