A contact-making apparatus is provided for producing a low-voltage connection between a motor vehicle () and a charging apparatus. The contact-making apparatus has at least one motor vehicle contact element () associated with the motor vehicle, and with at least one charging contact element () associated with the charging apparatus. To simplify the production of a low-voltage connection between a motor vehicle and a charging apparatus, the charging contact element () has a charging contact face () that can fit on the charging apparatus movably relative to a motor vehicle contact face and has a configuration matched to the configuration of the motor vehicle contact face on the motor vehicle contact element ().

A hybrid drive for a motor vehicle includes an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, which, together with at least one auxiliary unit, are connected via a belt/chain drive. A locking device for a rotatable latching element with a bending spring is provided for a gear selecting system of a motor vehicle. In order to improve such a locking device in terms of the structural cost required, it is proposed to locate the bending spring on the latching element. A first end of the bending spring is mounted in a fixed location on the latching element and the bending spring rests at a distance from its second free end on a support located on the latching element. Corresponding to the free end of the bending spring, a shoulder is provided in the vicinity of a rotational axis of the latching element on the housing of the selecting device. To unlock the locking device, an actuating element engages between the fixed bearing and the support for the bending spring.

A counterbearing for a spring is used to support an actuating element for a latching device of a selector lever. To facilitate assembly, the counterbearing is made table-shaped and includes a plate with laterally formed spreading arms. The spreading arms are provided endwise with latching noses which are received by openings in a lower part of the selector lever with essentially parallel walls.

A latching element is used for locking a selector lever in vehicles, with the latching element consisting of at least two flat elements. In order to reduce the danger of damage to the housing in the area of the connection devices, a plate made of steel for accommodating the connection devices is held on a flange surface of the housing.

A shifting arrangement for a manual transmission having several forward gears and at least one reverse gear has a shift rotor that is rotated to shift the transmission gears. For this purpose, the shift rotor is connected by way of a cable pull with a shift lever. By moving the shift lever forward or backward from a neutral position, the shift rotor is rotated by way of a step-by-step system. In order to ensure a secure shifting of the reverse gear with a clear assignment for the driver and a protection against an unintended shifting, the reverse gear is operated by moving the shift lever in a second channel which is separate from the forward-gear shifting channel. For this purpose, the shift lever is connected by way of a second cable pull with a preselection shaft. By rotating the preselection shaft, coupling elements can be adjusted between the shift forks and the shift rotor irrespective of their shifting position. By means of the locking elements between the shifting shaft and the preselection shaft, a shifting of individual transmission gears is allowed only if a previously defined shifting position existed.

Shifting arrangement for, and method of shifting, a manual transmission

A differential for the axle drive of a motor vehicle has a cage in the interior of which the axle shaft gears are guided and on which they are supported. For absorbing the forces acting in the direction of the axle drive shafts, the cage is made of a tube section and has at least two diametrical bores for the receiving and leadthrough of the axle drive shafts. As a result, the differential can be manufactured with a reduced weight and lower cost while having a high stiffness.
