In the method, pairs of pressure and temperature values are recorded using a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor fixed to a case from the outside and communicating with a dielectric gas, thereby enabling a density value to be calculated for the dielectric gas corresponding to each recorded pair of values. Simultaneously with making the pressure and temperature records, an electric current flowing through an electrical apparatus located inside the case and a climate parameter relating to the medium in which the case is located are also recorded for the purpose of giving each density value an index, thereby enabling a leakage rate to be determined with improved accuracy on the basis of indexed leakage rates, each of which is obtained from density values all having the same index.

A controller for electrical equipment, in particular for a high-voltage circuit-breaker, the equipment being housed in a casing filled with a dielectric gas under pressure. An interrupting chamber within the casing extinguishes arcs produced by the main circuit-breaker contacts. The equipment employs a contact connecting rod designed to be moved in translation by said controller. The controller employs an operating piston mounted to slide in a cylindrical element fixed to the casing and connected to a communication duct for communicating with the inside of the casing via an actuating valve in the engagement position. The controller further includes a suction enclosure connected to said cylindrical element and communicating with the inside thereof via a communication duct when the actuating valve is in the disengagement position. A suction piston is mounted to slide in the enclosure. In addition, a reciprocating drive mechanism drives the suction piston in a reciprocating motion.

A circuit-breaker of the puffer type, comprising two arcing contacts, at least one of the arcing contacts being part of a moving contact assembly made up of a first tube co-operating with a second tube to define a blast chamber, and a compression chamber closed by a semi-moving piston, the circuit-breaker being provided with first means for holding the piston stationary during a first portion of the displacement stroke of the moving contact assembly between the closed position and the open position, and with second means for displacing the piston axially with the moving contact assembly during a second portion of the same displacement stroke. The first means for holding the piston stationary comprise a stationary retaining member for locking an abutment arrangement associated with the piston, and the second means for axially displacing the piston comprise an unlocking member for unlocking said abutment arrangement, which member is associated with the moving contact assembly.

Low-compression puffer circuit-breaker

A circuit breaker comprising a first permanent current contact and a first arcing contact that are fixed, a second permanent current contact and a second arcing contact that are movable in a longitudinal direction to be connected with or separated from the fixed contacts, and a mechanism for displacing the moving contacts in the longitudinal direction in such a manner so as to separate the permanent current contacts before separating the arcing contacts. The mechanism includes a shaft movable in the longitudinal direction and secured to the moving permanent current contact, and a crank piece having two limbs forming an L-shape and rotatable about an axis that is fixed relative to the longitudinal direction and that extends perpendicularly to the direction, one limb of the crank piece being connected to the moving arcing contact, and its other limb being connected to the shaft.

Generator circuit breaker having a single mechanical control mechanism

The interlock control for a circuit breaker and a disconnector comprises a moving bar for opening or closing the circuit breaker and a displacement rod for displacing a disconnector rod to open or close the disconnector. The moving bar is driven by an arm which is secured to an outlet shaft and which is rotatable in a plane perpendicular to the outlet shaft, and the displacement rod is driven via an L-shaped piece which is movable about an axis that is substantially parallel to the outlet shaft, the arm driving the L-shaped piece during a second opening or closing stage of the circuit breaker via a wheel which is fixed to the arm and which slides in a notch of the L-shaped piece. The outlet shaft makes it possible to achieve interlocking by means of a single control, thereby providing a high level of reliability and of safety.

The conductors are held by a plurality of sets of three insulating arms secured to one another, the conductors being free to slide through openings formed in the arms, the aluminum case being separated from the steel case by strips of plastics material or of filled polymer having a low coefficient of friction.

A pressurized gas insulated screened line comprises a plurality of sections, two adjacent sections being separated by a junction enabling demounting of a section and each section comprising at least one conductive bar held in place in a cylindrical enclosure.
