A soil-working machine comprising a chassis, a rotor connected to the chassis, driven in rotation during work about a substantially horizontal axis directed transversely to a direction of forward travel of the machine, at least one guard connected to the chassis with an articulation of pivot type, the axis of which is substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the rotor, and at least one adjustable retaining device which limits, downward only, the angular travel of the guard about the articulation. The soil-working machine additionally includes at least one locking device which limits, upward, during transport, the angular travel of the guard so as to keep the latter in the position defined by the setting of the retaining device.

A disk colter has a main disk for making a furrow in the ground. A secondary disk keeps the furrow open over a long enough distance that one or more seeds can be deposited. A support member supports the disks which are mounted so that they can rotate freely and are inclined in such a way that their peripheries meet in a region where the disks are closest to each other. This region is located at a bottom front part of the colter. On the main disk and/or the secondary disk, there is a plugging member intended to plug, at least in a vicinity of the region, a slot between the main disk and the secondary disk so that earth and/or plant debris are prevented from accumulating between the disks at least in the region.

A soil-working farm machine including a frame 1 provided with a device 20 for hitching to a tractor vehicle. At least one row 6, 7 of two bars 2, 3, or 4, 5 equipped with soil-working tools 21 and having a phase opposition movement is connected to said frame by a plurality of oscillating arms 9, 10, 11, 12. The phase opposition movement is generated by a mechanism for transformation of the rotary movement received from a driving source into a reciprocating movement crosswise to the forward direction. The mechanism includes a connecting rod-eccentric device 22 supported by the frame 1. The connecting rod 30, 31, 32, 33 serve to transmit the reciprocating movement to corresponding bars 2, 3, 4, 5. The oscillating arms 9, 10, 11, 12 are connected, on the one hand, to the frame 1 by a connection 13, 15, 17, 15 with an axis directed at least approximately parallel to the forward direction 8 and, on the other hand, to the corresponding bar 2, 3, 4, 5 by a connection 14, 16, 18, 19 with an axis also directed at least approximately parallel to the forward direction. Each connecting rod 30, 31, 32, 33 is connected by a connection 35 with an axis directed at least approximately parallel to the forward direction 8 to an oscillating arm 10, 12 of the corresponding bar 2, 3, 4, 5.

The ends opposite one another of adjacent bars (2, 3) of (4, 5) are sized, shaped, and positioned to cooperate with one another to push back hard objects which are found between two adjacent bars (2, 3) or (4, 5) during their approaching phase.

In a machine for working soil, the oscillating arms 6, 7 of the opposite toothed bars 2, 3, 4, 5 on different rows 27, 28 are mounted at least approximately side-by-side in a direction crosswise to the direction of advance 24.

A machine for removing blocks of forage from inside a horizontal silo has a chassis with prongs fitted on a lower part of the chassis and extending substantially horizontally, an arm located at a certain distance above the prongs and bearing a cutting device, wherein the arm with the cutting device is hingedly mounted on a crank by means of a substantially vertical first axle, and the crank is hingedly connected to the chassis by a second axle which is offset relative to the first axle.

Machine for removing blocks of forage from a silo

A power harrow has a frame that is normally substantially horizontal and at least one rotor. A rotatable shaft is journalled near one end in a bearing secured to the frame. The rotor is in driven connection with the other end of the shaft, and is rotated about a normally upright axis, so as to make contact with the soil to work it. A protective shield surrounds the bearing from below.
