Door lock

A locking device for securing a first structure to a second structure. The locking device comprises a housing securable to the first structure, a lock base securable to the second structure, and a locking tab slidably received within said housing. The locking tab has an extended position where a second end is slidably received within the lock base. The lock base has a flexibly resilient locking arm. When in its locked configuration the locking arm releasably engaged with the second end of the locking tab to prevent retraction of the tab from the lock base. The lock base has a resilient member biasing the locking arm to its locked configuration. The lock base has a flexibly resilient removable key member. When engaged with the lock base, a compressive force applied to the key member causes movement of the locking arm from its locked to its unlocked configuration.

Locking device

A safety lock is disclosed and comprises a body, a bolt and a handle. The body is securable to one member. The bolt is mounted to the body for reciprocation between projecting and retracted positions. In the projecting position, a bolt end portion protrudes beyond the body and is engageable in another member, to prevent relative movement of the members. In the retracted position, the end portion is incapable of engagement in the other member, to permit said relative movement. The handle is releasably engageable to the bolt. The handle, body and bolt are adapted such that when the handle is engaged to the bolt, the handle permits manual reciprocation of the bolt, and are further adapted such that when the handle is disengaged from the bolt and the bolt end portion is inaccessible for manual manipulation, the bolt is inaccessible for said manual reciprocation.

A water filtration system incorporating a fluid flow meter has a modular turbine casing assembly in which a turbine is located between upstream and downstream casing elements of identical shape and formed to be stacked so as to trap the turbine in between. The turbine is magnetized and rotation of the turbine is monitored electronically with a reed switch having a lead wire which is positioned proximate to the turbine to sense fluctuations in a magnetic field created by the turbine on rotation of the turbine. The reed switch housing itself is disposed at a location remote from the turbine. The system further includes processor for calculating an adjusted accumulated count data for low volumetric flow rates which are less than a predetermined threshold value. Advantageously, the invention can be used to reliably measure very low flow rates with very little power drawn.

A lock for preventing one member from moving relative to another member has a housing securable to one member, and a plunger unit mounted in the housing. The plunger unit has a sleeve, a plunger slidably mounted in the sleeve, and a spring acting between the plunger and the sleeve to resiliently bias the plunger to a locking position in which a free end portion of the plunger projects from one end of the sleeve. The plunger also has a manually operable portion projecting from an opposite end of the sleeve. In the locking position, the free end portion of the plunger projects from the housing to extend into an aperture in the other member, when the housing is secured to the one member, and thereby prevent relative movement between the members. The plunger also has an unlocking position in which the free end portion thereof is withdrawn from the aperture in the other member by pulling the manually operable portion against the action of the spring.

Water filtration housing for water filtration cartridge

Attachment for an in-line skate of the kind having a plurality of linearly-aligned wheels comprising chocks which arrest rotational movement in adjacent wheels at the front of the skate and at the back of the skate. An elastomeric member biases the chocks in operative alignment and joins them so that they can be spaced from each other to receive a selected number of wheels in-between. The elastomeric member has first and second end loops which are fastened to respective ends of the associated skate.
