An electrical assembly is provided for selectively operating a household appliance in a demonstration mode or a standard mode. A logic unit () is adapted to control the electrical and/or electronic components of the household appliance (), and to make the household appliance () perform a standard mode or a demonstration mode. A power supply device (), external to the household appliance (), is adapted to deliver electric power to the household appliance (). The household appliance () comprises a power supply circuit () adapted to be connected to the power supply device () or directly to the supply mains (), in order to energize the logic unit () and the other electrical and/or electronic components of the household appliance (). The household appliance () further comprises a detection device () adapted to detect if the power supply circuit () is connected to the power supply device () or directly to the supply mains (). The logic unit () is configured to enable the performing of the demonstration mode if the detection device () detects that the power supply circuit () is connected to the power supply device (), and to enable the performing of the standard mode if the detection device () detects that the power supply circuit () is connected directly to the supply mains ().

Electrical assembly for selectively operating a household appliance in a demonstration mode or a standard mode

A system and methods to provide appliance field support personnel with a tool that, together with proper interface modules, simplifies the execution of diagnostic procedures and provides an easy way to configure, reconfigure, or update electronic boards in the home on a client side of an enterprise wide system. The electronic boards serve as electronic controllers in the appliances and are programmable generic service boards. With such a system, it is possible to update and re-configure electronic boards and interact directly with an electronic controller of an appliance while an appliance is operating. Software, configuration data, and control data are downloaded from a server-side configuration of the enterprise wide system to update the electronic boards.

Enterprise wide system and methods for configuring, diagnosing, and updating appliances

A refrigerator () includes a cabinet () provided with a primary electrical circuit () connected to a main alternate voltage power supply and at least one movable member () associable to the cabinet () and provided with a secondary electrical circuit (). The secondary circuit () is powered contactlessly by the primary circuit () and the secondary circuit () supplies electrical energy to a power consuming device ().

The invention relates to a gas burner for a gas cooking appliance with at least one gas hob and/or one gas oven, wherein the gas burner () comprises a heat source () and an electric ignition system (), and wherein an electric or electronic control circuit () is provided for controlling the electric ignition system (). According to the invention the gas burner () includes a photovoltaic generator () for generating the electric power for the electric ignition system ().

The secondary circuit () is powered contactlessly by the primary circuit () and supplies electrical energy to a power consuming device ().

A machine for washing items of various kinds includes a washing tub for containing the washing liquor, and a reactor for generating heat for heating up the washing liquor and a stream of gaseous hydrogen supplying a fuel cell to generate a source of electric power. In the interior thereof, the reactor contains a mass of metals, which may include magnesium, and produces a stream of gaseous hydrogen. The machine further includes a source of water that is let into the reactor to trigger the reaction process producing the hydrogen, a fuel cell that receives the stream of hydrogen and converts it into electric power, an electric connection adapted to transfer the electric power generated by the fuel cell to a controller and an actuator include in the machine, and heat transferring device for transferring the heat generated by the reactor to the washing liquor. In the interior thereof, the reactor includes a first heat exchanger for transferring the heat being generated therein to the washing liquor contained in the washing tub of the machine.
