A locking device having at least one load-bearing element, a first locking device engageable in a removable manner with the hollow body to lock it in travel with respect to the load-bearing element, the hollow body being movable in rotation around the axis with respect to the load-bearing element, and second locking device engageable in a removable manner with the support element, the locking device being movable between at least one release configuration and at least one locking configuration, wherein the second locking device engage with the support element to secure the load-bearing element in travel with respect thereto, the hollow body being movable in rotation around the axis with respect to the support element with the locking device in the locking configuration.

Magnetic drive centrifugal pump

A magnetic levitation centrifugal pump comprises: an internally hollow body, an inlet connector and an outlet connector for blood. The hollow body comprises a lower element and an upper element which are mutually coupled to each other; a rotor element housed inside the hollow body and provided with a portion made of magnetic material, the rotor element being magnetically commanded in rotation about a relative axis, without contact, by a stator element associable with the hollow body. The upper element has a perimeter flange for coupling and a substantially dome-shaped body projecting from the perimeter flange. The outlet connector is associated with the dome-shaped body and is spaced away from the perimeter flange, between the outlet connector and the perimeter flange being defined an air space inside which mutual tightening device/component can be inserted for the tightening of the upper element with the lower element.

Magnetic levitation centrifugal pump

A magnetic levitation centrifugal pump, comprises: one hollow body provided with at least one inlet connector and with at least one outlet connector for blood; one rotor element, housed inside the hollow body and comprising at least one magnetic portion, where the rotor element can be commanded in rotation about an axis of rotation, without contact, by a stator element associable with the hollow body, the rotor element comprising at least one revolving body, which defines an upper surface supporting a plurality of blades which are adapted to convey blood towards the outlet connector; where the upper surface has a substantially concave shape and where the revolving body comprises at least one through hole which is positioned along the axis of rotation.

A blood filtering device comprises a casing defining a containment volume and provided with at least a first inlet for the venous blood, at least a second inlet for the intracavitary blood, at least a third inlet for the extra cavitary blood and at least an outlet mouth for the blood; blood filtering means which are housed inside the containment volume and delimiting at least one filtering volume communicating with the blood inlets and at least one collecting volume communicating with the outlet mouth; where filtering means comprise: at least a first filtering element defining a closed profile and delimiting a first filtering volume communicating with the first inlet; at least a second filtering element defining a closed profile and delimiting a second filtering volume communicating with the second inlet; at least a third filtering element defining a closed profile and delimiting a third filtering volume communicating with the third inlet.

Blood filtering device

A device for treating blood in an extracorporeal blood circuit, the device including a centrifugal pump provided with a transparent enclosure that is connected, by means of an inlet duct, to the outlet of a venous reservoir, the venous reservoir having an inlet that is connected to receive blood from a patient. The transparent enclosure of the pump is connected monolithically to the base of a structure that comprises a heat exchanger and an oxygenator. The structure also supports monolithically, at the peripheral region, an arterial filter that receives the blood in output from the oxygenator and is provided with a connector for coupling to an arterial line for return of the blood to the patient.

Device and methods for processing blood in extracorporeal circulation

An integrated device for heating and oxygenating blood in an extracorporeal blood circuit, comprising a shell-and-tube heat exchanger module provided with a coupling to a blood supply line and with two couplings respectively for the intake and discharge of the water designed to exchange heat with the blood; ports are also provided for the passage of the blood toward an oxygenator module of the hollow-fiber type which is located at the peripheral region of the heat exchanger and is provided with a coupling to a blood discharge line; the device further comprises means adapted to direct the flow of blood along a turbulence-free path and with optimum distribution within the two modules.

Integrated device for heating and oxygenating blood in an extracorporeal circuit

A cardiotomy reservoir, comprising an outer wall provided, at the lid, with connectors for the inflow of blood to be filtered and, at the bottom, with a connector for the outflow of the filtered blood, a filtering mass being provided which divides the space delimited by the outer wall into a portion that is connected to the inflow connectors and a portion that is connected to the outflow connector; the cardiotomy reservoir comprises a layer of material adapted to retain fats present in blood, and further comprises a first partition and a second partition, which are adapted to delimit at different distances the region that comprises the blood outflow connector and are provided with ports for the passage of the blood in its path for accessing the connector which are arranged at differentiated levels with respect to the bottom, the ports that are provided in the first partition that lies closest to the outflow connector being located at a height, from the bottom, that is greater than the height of the ports provided in the second partition, detachable elements for blocking the blood outflow connector being further provided.

A venous reservoir in an extracorporeal blood circuit, comprising a rigid outer enclosure for a filtering mass in the form of a hollow cylinder, provided with an upper lid which comprises couplings for the inflow of blood with the portion of space delimited by the filtering mass and with a connector at the bottom, the reservoir further comprising a diaphragm which is arranged below the upper lid and is adapted to receive the blood that enters through the couplings provided in the peripheral region of the lid, at the axis of a central hole of the diaphragm there is a column with longitudinal vanes which protrude upwardly until they skim the rim of the hole and are adapted to follow the blood in its flow by gravity toward the collection region at the base of the enclosure.

A device for oxygenating blood in an extracorporeal circuit includes a first structure suitable to delimit a portion of space-containing capillaries made of microporous membrane. The capillaries convey oxygen and are wet externally by blood flowing through a portion of space between an intake connector, which is connected to a venous line of the extracorporeal circuit, and a delivery connector. The device includes a second structure monolithically connected and contiguous to the first structure. The second structure is suitable to contain blood filtration means that divide the portion of space delimited thereby into a blood distribution chamber, provided with an air vent and connected to the delivery connector of the first structure, and a blood collection chamber provided with a delivery connector connected to the arterial line of the extracorporeal circuit.

A device for treating blood in an extracorporeal circuit comprising a venous blood reservoir having an inlet and an outlet, and a hemoconcentrator having a first inlet connector for the blood to be treated, a second outlet connector for the outflow of concentrated blood, and a third outlet connector for the outflow of the ultrafiltered liquid, wherein the hemoconcentrator is disposed within the venous blood reservoir and the hemoconcentrator and the venous blood reservoir are integrated into a single monolithic assembly, and wherein the hemoconcentrator comprises an enclosure containing structure suitable to concentrate blood.

Hemoconcentrator in extracorporeal blood circuit

A unit for pumping fluid, particularly blood, is provided with an enclosure that has two half-shells and an elastic membrane fixed perimetrically to the enclosure in order to divide its space into two parts. One of the half-shells is provided with valves that are located at the opening of two connecting ducts for the intake and delivery of the fluid, and the other half-shell is connected to a line of working fluid that is alternately pressurized and depressurized. The first valve is a disk-shaped sheet made of elastic material. The first valve is in a central position with a support that is fixed to the opening of the first duct for connection to the outside and is suitable to rest at its peripheral region on the support. A second valve is a sheet of elastic material located at the peripheral region of the disk at the opening of the second duct for connection to the outside which lies at the peripheral region of the opening of the first duct.
