A rolling bearing component () has the following features: a nitrided surface zone (), with a nitrogen content decreasing from the outside inwards, and a core zone (), internal compressive stresses decreasing from the outside inwards in the surface zone (), a surface hardness of 870 to 2000 HV 0.3 at a depth of 0.04 mm, wherein&#x2014;the hardness at a depth of 0.3 mm is not more than 250 HV 0.3 less than the surface hardness.

Rolling bearing component

A roller bearing having two cooperating rolling parts of which one is of ceramic and the other of a steel. The steel part is of such structure and/or material and/or is so produced to cause residual compressive stresses to form beneath the contact surface of the steel part, at least in a load-free state, down to a depth.

Rolling bearing of ceramic and steel engaging parts

A method for hardening running surfaces of roller bearing components, in particular outer bearing rings. In order to provide the edge area (functional layer) of the roller bearing components with a deep layer which is particularly hard and resistant to corrosion, the roller bearing component undergoes nitration for a long period of time at a temperature of between 450 and 650&#xb0; C. for at least 25 hours. During treatment no carburizing and subsequently no quenching takes place.

Method for hardening running surfaces of roller bearing components

A roller bearing which has a roller bearing ring. In order to produce a roller bearing that has a high rotational speed value and operational load using minimum quantity lubrication and in which heat produced in the bearing can be removed in a rapid and reliable manner, the roller bearing ring is made of a material composite. The first material composite component forms the running surface and is made of a refractory metal or a sintering material. The thermal conductivity and heat resistance first material composite component is higher than the thermal conductivity and heat resistance of at least one additional material composite component which forms the base body of the roller bearing ring.

Roller bearing

A method for testing a bearing component in order to ensure that the bearing surface and a load-bearing region located underneath the bearing surface are in a perfect condition. A material testing depth containing the point of maximum mechanical load during operation is determined. In a first partial testing step, the bearing component is subjected to an ultrasound test by which the material region underneath the bearing surface is tested for defects by ultrasound, at least up to the material testing depth. In a second partial testing step, a full optical test of the bearing surface is carried out During the second partial testing step, the actual surface state of the bearing surface is compared with a nominal surface state. The bearing component is then only classified as faultless if the results of the two partial testing steps do not reveal any defects.

Method for testing a bearing component by means of ultrasound and optical inspection

An antifriction hearing race, particularly for highly stressed antifriction bearings in aircraft power units, which have a fixed joining of two layers made of different metallic materials, with an area of the raceways for the roller bodies being made of a steel with a very high degree of hardness and resistance to wear, and the core area of the antifriction bearing race being made of a high-strength steel. A powder-metallurgical high-speed steel has a high content of carbide-forming alloying elements and a high carbon content is provided as the material for the raceway of the roller bodies, whereas the material for the core area of the antifriction bearing race is made of a hot-work steel with, in comparison to the raceway material, a lower content of carbide-forming alloying elements and with a low carbon content, both materials being joined to one another with material fit by diffusion welding.

Antifriction bearing race, particularly for highly stressed antifriction bearings in aircraft power units

A meter bearing with a recess located at the periphery of at least one of the bearing rings. Expansion-measuring strips are disposed in the recess and conducting paths and electronic modules are arranged on a supporting material and evaluate and transmit the output signals of the expansion-measuring strips. The expansion-measuring strips are connected to the electrical conducting paths which extend to the electronic modules. In order to reduce the space required for such a measuring and evaluation system in a meter bearing, the expansion-measuring strips are placed below and/or above the radial plane of the supporting material and of the conductor paths and electronic modules located thereupon.

Meter bearing comprising an integrated data detection and processing system

A rolling bearing which has as rolling bearing components one bearing race with a first running surface, a second bearing race with a second running surface opposed to the first surface, and rolling elements arranged between the running surfaces. At least one sensing unit is integrated into the rolling bearing components. The sensing unit can be interrogated by radio via antennas or can be connected to an interrogator by a cable. The sensing unit uses at least one component operating on the SAW or BAW principle to sense changes in length and/or changes in temperature in the material of the rolling bearing component and sends the result of the measurement after the arrival of a radio signal via the antenna or via a cable.
