A circuit board assembly is provided. The circuit board assembly includes: a first circuit board; a second circuit board; a bracket for supporting the second circuit board; and an interconnect apparatus for a connection and a disconnection of the first circuit board and the second circuit board, wherein the interconnect apparatus includes a first connector disposed on the first circuit board and a second connector disposed on the second circuit board (one is a male connector and the other is a female connector). The circuit board assembly includes a lifting and lowering apparatus for vertically lifting or lowering the bracket so that after the connection the second connector is vertically disconnected from the first connector and after the disconnection the second connector is vertically connected to the first connector. An electronic device having the circuit board assembly is further provided.

An apparatus providing a three dimensional tactile sense on a display of an electronic device. The apparatus comprises two layers. The bottom layer is a set of channels that form a matrix along x and y axes. The top layer comprises a matrix of small transparent columns. When the user interface provides the sensation of a three dimensional surface, the corresponding x and y coordinates that are mapped to the three dimensional surface are inflated. The change in volume forces a subset of columns upward in the direction orthogonal to the plane of the screen.

An apparatus providing physical presence of a virtual button on a touch screen of an electronic device. The apparatus comprises two layers. When the user interface displays an image, such as a pushbutton, the corresponding x and y coordinates that are mapped to the location of the pushbutton on the screen are inflated. The change in volume forces a subset of columns upward in the direction orthogonal to the plane of the screen. When at least one transparent column is raised, the image of the virtual button displayed on the screen takes on a physical presence when the surface of a display screen becomes raised in order to produce a sensation of touch as a finger moves across the surface.

A carrier includes main body, a conductive elastic element, and a handle. The main body is adapted to carrying an electronic device and has a cavity. The conductive elastic element is disposed in the cavity. The handle is pivotally coupled to the main body. When the handle locks the main body to be located in a lock position, the handle exerts force on the conductive elastic element such that the conductive elastic element protrudes outside the main body through the cavity. When the handle does not lock the main body and exert force on the conductive elastic element to be located at a release position, the conductive elastic element is located inside the main body where it does not interfere with an outside device. This allows convenient insertion and removal of the carrier relative to a cage. Accordingly, the conductive elastic element is not damaged easily.
