An injection device including a housing, a needle guard sleeve displaceable relative to the housing, and a spring coupled to the guard sleeve such that the guard sleeve can be moved by the spring distally from a proximal position to an end position, the spring also being coupled to a forward drive element displaceable relative to the housing in a drive direction wherein the spring is tensioned upon a movement of the forward drive element in the forward drive direction.

Injection device with a spring for a needle protecting sleeve

In an elongated casing, an active agent container connected to an injection needle can be shifted axially by a spring force. Auto-injectors distributed pre-filled and with the springs tensed may be provided with a needle protecting cap to ensure sterility of the needle. When the needle protecting cap is removed as preparation for using the auto-injector, a tensile force can be exerted on the active agent container. Therefore, the active agent container and needle must be prevented from being undesirably pulled forwards. At least one latching tongue prevents the active agent container from being prematurely shifted with respect to the casing, by abutting a flange arranged on a sliding sleeve accommodating the active agent container. When the auto-injector is placed onto the skin, a needle protecting tube is shifted into the casing, forcing the latching tongue away from the flange, thereby freeing the travel path for needle movement.

In an elongated casing, an active agent container connected to an injection needle can be shifted axially by a spring force. Auto-injectors which are sold or distributed filled and with the springs tensed have to be provided with a needle protecting cap to ensure the sterility of the injection needle. When such a needle protecting cap is removed as preparation for using the auto-injector, a tensile force can be exerted on the active agent container. Therefore, the active agent container comprising the injection needle must be prevented from being undesirably pulled forwards. At least one latching tongue prevents the active agent container from being prematurely shifted with respect to the casing, by abutting a flange arranged on a sliding sleeve which accommodates the active agent container. When the auto-injector is placed onto a person's skin, a needle protecting tube is shifted into the casing, forcing the latching tongue away from the flange and, thus, freeing the travel path for needle movement.

A modular administration appliance including a reusable base unit and a replaceable cartridge detachably connected to the base unit and including a container for a substance and a rotatable transmission element, the base unit including a drive device by which a rotary movement is transmitted between the base unit and the cartridge, and a driving element displaceable in a rotary movement about a rotational axis by the drive device, wherein a rotation of the transmission element causes the ejection of at least a portion of the substance from the container. In some embodiments, the transmission element at least partially surrounds the drive device, and/or the drive element and the transmission element are detachably connectable to each other for transmitting the rotational movement.

Modular administration system

A device for administering an injectable product, including a housing, a displaceably mounted product container accommodated by the housing, a plunger in the container so that it can be displaced in a forward-drive direction in order to dispense the product, a plunger rod acting on the plunger in the forward-drive direction and having a releasable retained position, and a spring acting on the plunger rod in the forward-drive direction, the plunger rod releasably held in the retained position in a retaining engagement against the force of the spring, wherein the spring projects into the container in the retained position.

Device for administering an injectable product

A device for administering a fluid product including a housing, a conveying device for the product, a coupling element provided for the drive of the conveying device and which can be rotated about a rotational axis, a first blocking element connected in a rotationally secure manner to the coupling element, a second blocking element detachably engageable with the first blocking element thereby preventing a rotational movement thereof in the drive direction and enabling said rotational movement to take place in the counter dosing direction, a torsion spring connected to the coupling element such that it is stressed by the rotational movement when the blocking elements are engaged in a blocked position and drives the coupling element in a rotary manner after the blocking position is released, and a release element coupled to at least one of the blocking elements such that a release movement of the release element displaces at least one of the blocking elements from the blocked position, the release element also forming a dosing element used to control a product dose.
