A conveyor for transporting load carriers, having load-bearing members which are spaced apart parallel to one another on frame parts and are intended for accommodating drivable load-bearing elements which form longitudinally running load-bearing tracks for the load carriers resting on the load-bearing elements. The conveyor may include modular-construction conveying units, and each load-bearing element of at least two laterally spaced-apart load-bearing members of each conveyor unit may comprise an endlessly circulating load-bearing belt, which bears the load carriers and which is supported on load-bearing rollers mounted on the load-bearing members. The conveyor may be provided for transporting load carriers and may be suitable for conveying the load carriers both longitudinally and transversely. The conveyor may transport the load carriers with a lower level of noise, and may allow a high throughput even of large loads. The conveyor may be used cost-effectively both for production and for installation on site.

Conveyor for transporting load carriers

The invention concerns a conveyor for packages, especially a conveyor for flexible packages such as newspapers, textiles or sacks. The conveyor includes a plurality of sequential, parallel and spaced rollers, which form a conveying surface and are perpendicular to a direction of conveyance. Along their length, the rollers have alternating cylindrical sections and narrowing sections. The narrowing sections narrow to both sides of a highest point along the length of the roller toward the cylindrical sections. A plurality of continuous belts are guided around groups of sequential rollers and run in the direction of conveyance to bridge gaps between the spaced rollers. The belts are positioned around the narrowing sections at the maximum diameter thereof. In order to create a conveyor for packages that is less prone to disturbances, it is preferred that the diameters and the widths of the narrowing sections and the cylindrical sections of the rollers be selected in relation to a width and/or thickness of the belts, such that when a belt is deflected by a package from the highest point of the narrowing section toward the cylindrical section, the belt will lose contact with the package as the package remains on the neighboring belts or the highest point of the roller. The belt thus can independently return to the highest point of the narrowing section, as the belt is driven by its continuing contact with the narrowing section, before the belt is deflected to the neighboring narrowing section and after the package is transported further by the conveyor.

Conveyor for articles with wave-shaped rollers

A roller track is arranged in sections in that individual groups of carrier rollers can be selectively drivingly connected to and disconnected to and from a drive belt for section stop-and-go operations permitting a buffer location for each section, there being vertically displaceable belt rollers for engaging the belt to obtain driving connection to and disconnection from carrier rollers. The track includes a plurality of control rollers, control bars and control cams. The belt rollers are eccentrically mounted in the control rollers such that depending upon the angular position of the control rollers the respective belt rollers are lifted or lowered for engagement with or disengagement with the belt.

Roller track

A conveying roller device having holding locations for the material to be transported in which switch bars (4) extend above the supporting rolls (2) which are mounted between side plates (1) and are driven at the holding positions A, B and C by the drive belt (3). Drive belt (3) is pressed by the belt rolls (5), in raised position, against the supporting rolls (2). Holding position A is the frontmost holding position of the conveying device and switch plate (10A) thereof has been brought into preparatory position by an external control element in the form of a valve or limit switch, i.e. the external control element has, in a pneumatic or electrical logic circuit, created the prerequisite for the holding process which is to take place. This prerequisite can also be established in that a switch bar (4) has been displaced by a piece of material to be transported at a second holding position in front of a first holding position A. Switch bar 4 is developed as two-armed lever and actuates a control element (8) with the lower end (4a) thereof. The control element (8) is also connected to the logic circuit (15) via control lines (14).
