Fluid analyzer with self-check, leak detection, and adjustable gain

A spectral imaging device () for capturing one or more, two-dimensional, spectral images (A) of a sample () including (i) an image sensor (), (ii) an illumination source (), (iii) a beam path adjuster (), and (iv) a control system (). The illumination source () that generates an illumination beam () that is directed along an incident sample beam path () at the sample (). The beam path adjuster () selectively adjusts the incident sample beam path (). Low-noise spectroscopic imaging system with steerable substantially coherent illumination

A spectral imaging device () for generating an image (A) of a sample () includes (i) an image sensor (); (ii) a tunable light source () that generates an illumination beam () that is directed at the sample (); (iii) an optical assembly () that collects light from the sample () and forms an image of the sample () on the image sensor (); and (iv) a control system () that controls the tunable light source () and the image sensor (). During a time segment, the control system () (i) controls the tunable light source () so that the illumination beam () has a center wavenumber that is modulated through a first target wavenumber with a first modulation rate; and (ii) controls the image sensor () to capture at least one first image at a first frame rate. Further, the first modulation rate is equal to or greater than the first frame rate.

Modulating spectroscopic imaging system using substantially coherent illumination

A spectral imaging device () includes an image sensor (), an illumination source (), a refractive, optical element (A), a mover assembly (C) (), and a control system (). The image sensor () acquires data to construct a two-dimensional spectral image (A) during a data acquisition time (). The illumination source () generates an illumination beam () that illuminates the sample () to create a modified beam (I) that follows a beam path (B) from the sample () to the image sensor (). During the data acquisition time (), the control system () controls the illumination source () to generate the illumination beam (), and controls the image sensor () to capture the data. Further, during the data acquisition time (), an effective optical path segment () of the beam path (B) is modulated.

A laser assembly for generating an output beam includes a first module assembly, a second module assembly, and a module fastener assembly. The second module assembly is selectively movable relative to the first module assembly to selectively adjust a cavity length, and a pivot axis of a grating in the laser. Further, an arm assembly that retains the grating can be adjusted to adjust the cavity length, and to adjust the plane of the grating face. Moreover, the grating is movable relative to the arm assembly to align the grating.

Rapidly tunable laser assembly

An external cavity laser assembly () that generates a light beam () includes a gain medium () and a diffraction grating (). The gain medium () has a growth direction (C), a fast axis (A), a first facet (A), and a second facet (B) that is spaced apart from the first facet (A). The gain medium () emits from both facets (A) (B). Further, a beam polarization () of the light beam () emitting from the second facet (B) is perpendicular to the growth direction (C) and the fast axis (A). The grating () includes a plurality of grating ridges (A) that are oriented parallel to the beam polarization (). Moreover, each of the grating ridges (A) can have a substantially rectangular shaped cross-sectional profile.
