Disclosed herein are techniques to age filter information for a wireless network. In particular, a device to remove indications to filter beacons broadcast from another device based on the difference between a time a beacon was last received from the other device is disclosed. The device may be configured to update a filter information element each time a beacon is received from the other device and also to update an indication to filter beacons from the device based on the filter information element.

Broadcast aging for bluetooth low energy

Disclosed herein are techniques and systems to guide a visually impaired user through an urban area, such as, across a crosswalk. A mobile device may receive messages broadcast by wireless beacons deployed in an area and determine a path, for example, across a crosswalk, based on the messages. The mobile device can then provide feedback to guide a visually impaired user across the crosswalk.

Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of Bluetooth communication. For example, an apparatus may include a wireless communication unit to receive at a first Bluetooth device an indication message from a second Bluetooth device, the indication message including a state indication to indicate a non-movement state or a movement state of the second Bluetooth device, the wireless communication unit to transmit to the second Bluetooth device an update message including at least one value to indicate a rate of exchanging messages between the first and second Bluetooth devices, the rate being based on the state indication.
