A standard RF connector assembly for wireless communications antenna system. The RF connector assembly includes a first connector housing incorporating an RF connector, the housing including a first latch plate attached to the housing and has at least two toggle mounts. A toggle is attached to each toggle mount and each toggle includes a metal band pivotably attached to the toggle. A second connector housing incorporating a second RF connector includes a second latch plate attached to the second housing and has at least two tabs configured to be engaged by the metal bands to secure the first and second housing into latched engagement with each other.

Standard antenna interface connector assembly

A connector assembly for an antenna which includes an antenna cover. The connector assembly includes a connector mount with one or more connectors and a connector housing enclosing the connectors. The connector mount extends through an opening in the antenna cover with sufficient clearance to allow movement due to difference in thermal expansion between the antenna cover and the antenna structure. The assembly also includes a flexible seal structure attached to the connector mount and attachable to the antenna cover and dimensioned to enclose a portion of the connector mount extending outside the antenna cover to form a flexible weather resistant seal between the antenna cover and the connector mount while allowing movement of the connector mount relative to the antenna cover.

A multiple beam antenna system is described. The system may include a mounting structure, a first wireless access antenna, a second wireless access antenna, and a radio frequency lens. The first and second wireless access antennas may be mounted to the mounting structure. Columns of radiating elements of the first and second wireless access antennas may be aligned with the radio frequency lens. The radio frequency lens may be modular in a longitudinal or radial direction, or in both directions. The radio frequency lens may include a plurality of compartments arranged to form a first cylinder made up of concentric, coaxial cylinders and a plurality of dielectric materials in at least some of the plurality of compartments.

An improved phase shifter assembly is provided. The phase shifter assembly may comprise first and second sub-assemblies with certain common actuating elements. In one example, a first phase shifter sub-assembly is provided, the first phase shifter sub-assembly including a first phase shifter carrier, a first phase shifter printed circuit board mounted on the first phase shifter carrier, a first wiper printed circuit board coupled to an input of the first phase shifter printed circuit board and having at least a first end coupled to transmission lines on the first phase shifter printed circuit board, and at least one wiper support mechanically coupling the first wiper printed circuit board to the first phase shifter printed circuit board. A second phase shifter is similarly provided. Common actuating elements may include a pivot arm and a throw arm. The pivot arm may be rotatably mounted in the phase shifter assembly and be configured to engage a wiper support of at least one of the first and second phase shifter sub-assemblies. The throw arm may be mounted such that when the throw arm is moved linearly, the pivot arm rotates around a pivot.

A high band element and an antenna including a plurality of high band elements are provided. The high band element can include directors disposed above four dipoles, and the antenna can include a plurality of low band elements configured to accommodate the plurality of high band elements. The low band elements can be configured in a 1-2-2-2-1 arrangement or a 2-2-2-2-1 arrangement.

An antenna comprising a reflective surface; and an array of dipole antenna elements disposed adjacent to the reflective surface. Each antenna element has a pair of arms which together define a dipole axis, and the dipole axis is tilted at an acute angle with respect to the reflective surface. The pair of arms may be dipole arms, or may be Yagi director arms. In some embodiments the dipole axis is tilted at an acute angle with respect to a feed axis. In some embodiments the antenna element comprises a feed portion defining a feed axis; and the feed portion has a mounting portion which is tilted at an acute angle with respect to the feed axis.

A cable holder is described that includes a connector holder that is configured to receive several cable connectors each of which are attached to a cable. The cable holder also includes one or more latch bars that are connected to the connector holder and configured to enable a user to interact with each latch bar so as to depress a tab on each of the cable connectors which enables the user to insert at the same time all of the cable connectors into a connector. Thereafter, the user can interact with each latch bar so as to depress a tab on each of the cable connectors which enables the user to remove at the same time all of the cable connectors from the connector.

A telecommunications shelf is disclosed that includes a back portion of a shelf, a bus control transition module, and a back plane. The back portion of the shelf is operable to receive a plurality of transition modules. The bus control transition module is received in the back portion of the shelf. The back plane is coupled to the bus control transition module. The bus control transition module is operable to provide system functions for a plurality of cards in the shelf over the back plane.

System and method for providing system functions in a telecommunications network

The compact PCI cabinet includes an inlet port for receiving external air, a set of blowers for drawing the air into the cabinet and for expelling the air from an exhaust port of the cabinet after having cooled internal active circuits, and a plurality of louvers and openings that create thermal convection within a back portion of the compact PCI cabinet to cool active components coupled to the back side of the back plain of the compact PCI system. Additionally, a plurality of perforated air openings located approximately at the bottom and back side of a side panel of the compact PCI cabinet also is included to conduct an receive some air from the external environment. Openings are formed between a plurality of card guides located approximately at the top of the back side of the back portion of the PCI cabinet for conducting air in and out of the back portion of the cabinet. A pin field coupled to a heat sink is placed in the air path between the blowers and the openings through which the air may be conducted into the back portion of the compact PCI cabinet to reduce the exhaust air temperature. Finally, the invention includes a thermistor placed in the exhaust path so that the fan speed of the blowers maybe adjusted according to the temperature of the exhaust after passing through the pin field.
