The described technology is generally directed towards monitoring the operational health of one or more applications deployed on a containerized application management system (CAMS) cluster. Various application resources can be mapped to one or more applications, in conjunction with various events and filters. Events can be monitored and reviewed to determine which application resource(s) is associated with the event, and further, the event's effect on the application(s). The events can be filtered based upon the effect on the operational health of the application. For example, if an event is identified as insignificant, the event does not have to be reported. In another example, if the event is identified as being potentially critical to the operational health of the application, a notification can be generated informing an operator that an application may have experienced potentially catastrophic damage. Based thereon, the administrator can then undertake an action(s) necessary to mitigate the damage.

Methods, apparatus, and processor-readable storage media for automated delivery of cloud native application updates using one or more user-connection gateways are provided herein. An example computer-implemented method includes generating an application update package pertaining to a cloud native application; generating a manifest file comprising identifying information for the application update package and metadata pertaining to implementing the application update package; outputting, to a user device via a user-connection gateway, a request for automated remote action on an application within a user environment associated with the user device; processing, via the user-connection gateway, a response from the user device approving the request for automated remote action; outputting the manifest file to the user environment associated with the user device; and initiating, in accordance with the manifest file, automated implementation of the application update package to the application within the user environment.

Automated delivery of cloud native application updates using one or more user-connection gateways

Described is a system for secure management of recovery data for data protection assets such as backup data and a backup application of a production backup system. The system may provide the ability to synchronize and secure critical recovery data of an isolated recovery environment. Accordingly, the system may reduce the breadth of potential cyber security attack vectors and increase the likelihood of efficiently recovering critical data and/or applications. To provide such capabilities, the system may only activate a data connection between a production system and a recovery system when synchronizing recovery data. In addition, the system may apply a retention lock to maintain a set of immutable copies of the recovery data and may restore the recovery data to a sandboxed environment where it may be tested and verified before being deployed to the production system as part of a recovery process.
