In accordance with one aspect of the present description, a shoe treatment device is provided having a shoe interior engagement form expandable from a latched, contracted state to an expanded state. A user operated slide actuator positioned exterior to the shoe may drive the engagement form to expand to the expanded state. The slide actuator may be actuated to contract the engagement form back to the contracted state. A latch may latch the engagement form in the selected contracted or expansion state to facilitate insertion and removal and treatment of the shoe. Other aspects are described.

Shoe treatment

A steerable trailer is provided with a trailer hitch which extends forward to attach to a corresponding hitch on the towing vehicle. The towing vehicle hitch further includes an extending arm, referred to as the position arm, to which the end of the piston of a hydraulic master cylinder carried by the trailer is pivotally attached. A slave cylinder carried by the trailer adjacent to the steerable wheels is in hydraulic communication with the master cylinder for turning the steerable wheels. A pair of hydraulic lines communicate between the master cylinder and the slave cylinder to extend or retract the slave cylinder piston rod. The steerable wheels are rotatably and pivotally connected to an axle by conventional steering knuckles. A pivot arm is affixed to the steering knuckle of one of the wheels and to a tie rod extending from the steering knuckle of the opposite wheel. The extending end of the cylinder rod of the slave cylinder carries a steering knuckle to which is pivotally attached the pivot arm. During the towing operation, steering the towing vehicle changes the relative angle between the position arm and the trailer hitch causing of the piston of the master cylinder to compress hydraulic fluid through one or another of the hydraulic lines which in turn activates the slave cylinder to extend or withdraw its cylinder rod. Extension or retraction of the slave cylinder piston rod acts on the pivot arm to turn the steerable wheels to steer the trailer in the same direction as the towing vehicle.

Steering control system for trailers

A rotor assembly for a rotary power device consists of two opposed rotor sections which when assembled in the stator of the device have limited movement parallel to the axis of rotation of the rotor assembly. Each rotor section includes through running cylinders and a center passage for a drive shaft when the sections are assembled. Each rotor section defines inwardly extending support legs and a rear face which act to limit the travel of the rotor sections towards one another. The number of support legs is equal to one half of the number of cylinders in the rotor assembly. The base of the support legs includes a socket which is aligned with a socket in the rear face of the opposing rotor section. A guide pin and spring are disposed in the socket of the support leg and the guide pin extends from the socket into the rear face socket when the rotor sections are assembled. The spring acts to normally urge the rotor sections away from one another so that the end walls of the rotor assembly are in contact with the end walls of the stator of the rotary power device. In the event of expansion of the components of the rotary power device during operation, the rotor sections can move towards one another against the urging of the spring thus avoiding excessive contact pressure between the end walls of the rotor sections and the stator.

Method and apparatus for producing stereoscopic images for motion picture or TV using a single sensor or camera and a single lens. In carrying out the method of the invention, the camera lens is caused to rotate about an axis defined by the optical path of the incoming image rays. The apex of the cone is defined by the object being rendered. The base of the cone is defined by the image sensor portion of the camera and its circular path remains unchanged during an image rendering session. The lens of the camera, on the other hand, travels in a smaller circular path and the circumference of the path of travel of the lens is increased or decreased depending on the distance from the image to the lens and can change during the image rendering session. Apparatus comprises a frame which is driven by an electro mechanical drive mechanism for moving a camera support body through a conical path. The drive mechanism functions to drive the frame for moving a first portion of the camera support body through a circular path which remains generally constant during an image rendering session and a second portion of the camera support body through a smaller circular path which is determined by the distance from the lens to the image which is at the apex of the cone.

Method and apparatus for producing stereoscopic images with single sensor

The lens body of a camera for sensing moving images is adapted for producing a stereoscopic image by first and second spaced apart optical deflectors. The deflectors include reflective surfaces which lie in parallel planes with respect to one another and which are disposed at an angle to the optical path of incoming image rays. The second deflector lies generally in the optical path of the incoming image rays and deflects incoming image rays from the scene to the first deflector which lies in the path of the deflected rays. The first deflector in turn deflects the image rays to the image sensing means in the camera body. Both deflectors are caused to rotate slowly about an axis defined by the optical path of the incoming image rays while maintaining their relative positions with respect to one another. The orientation of the lens with respect to the image sensing means of the camera remains fixed during rotation of the deflectors. In one embodiment the optical deflectors are positioned in front of the lens exteriorly of the lens body. In another embodiment the optical deflectors are positioned in the lens body of the camera behind the lens and the lens body is adapted for rotation while the lens does not rotate.

Method and apparatus for producing stereoscopic images

A rotary power device comprises an open ended stationary housing defining an interior having a sinusoidal cam track disposed therein and end walls closing each open end of the housing. At least one fluid inlet port and one fluid outlet port is provided in the end walls for fluid communication between the housing interior and the exterior of the end wall. A rotor assembly is disposed in the interior of the housing for rotation about the axis of the housing. The rotor assembly includes a central shaft extending axially through the interior of the housing which is rotatably carried by each of the end walls. At least one heat conducting disk is mounted on the shaft adjacent each of the end walls for rotation with the shaft. Each disk has at least two openings equiangularly located with respect to one another and aligned with corresponding equiangularly disposed openings in the other disk for mounting open ended tubular cylinder elements which extend between the disks parallel to the axis of the shaft. The open ends of each cylinder element is located adjacent a corresponding end wall for intermittant communication with the ports as the rotor assembly rotates. An elongated piston including a piston head is slidingly disposed in each cylinder element for reciprocal movement parallel to the axis of the shaft. Each piston includes a normally extending follower which extends through an elongated closed ended opening in the cylinder element into the sinusoidal track in the housing. A manifold communicates with the outlet port for collecting and conducting fluid expelled from the outlet port. The pistons reciprocate in their respective cylinder elements responsive to the follower in the sinusoidal track as the rotor assembly rotates. The rotary power device serves as an engine or compressor or combination of the two and is easily modified from one form to another simply by changing end walls.
