The invention is directed to adhesive remover compositions and methods of their use. The adhesive remover compositions generally comprise a glycol ether solvent system comprising an aliphatic glycol ether, an aromatic glycol ether, a hydrophobic glycol ether, and a hydrophilic glycol ether, and a surfactant system. In further embodiment of the invention, the surfactant system may comprise three surfactants. In another aspect of the invention, the composition effectively removes medical adhesives from healthcare textiles. In a particular embodiment of the invention, the surfactant system may comprise one or more nonionic surfactants

Adhesive remover compositions and methods of use

In one aspect of the present invention, a combination dishwashing machine and sink that utilizes a first use solution includes a dishwashing machine, a sump, a pump, a sink, a first fluid passageway, and a controller. The sump is in fluid communication with the dishwashing machine and is configured and arranged to contain the first use solution utilized in the dishwashing machine. The pump is in fluid communication with the sump, and the first fluid passageway interconnects the pump and the sink. The controller is operatively connected to the pump and is programmed to signal the pump to direct the first use solution from the sump, through the first fluid passageway, and into the sink. The controller automates the filling of the sink with the first use solution from the sump.

Combination dishwashing machine and sink

The present invention provides compositions and methods to reduce smoking and/or haze during a heated laundry process. The compositions include a smoke reducing surfactant package and a detersive surfactant containing an amount of free alcohol. The smoke reducing surfactant package includes an anionic surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant or mixtures thereof. The surfactants are selected such that the amount of smoke or haze produced is reduced and or eliminated when garments contacted with the compositions containing the surfactants are heated to at least about 250&#xb0; F. Methods of using the compositions are also provided.

Reduced smoking textile care detergents

A warewash machine includes a rinse sump and a wash sump. A controllable deflector, under control of a control module, directs wash agent dispensed during a wash phase to the wash sump, directs rinse agent to the wash sump for a predetermined period of time after initiation of an auxiliary rinse phase, and directs the rinse agent to the rinse sump after the predetermined period of time and for a remaining duration of the auxiliary rinse phase. The controllable deflector directs water dispensed during a final rinse phase to the rinse sump such that the water combines with the rinse agent therein. The rinse agent is re-used during at least one subsequent auxiliary rinse phase.

A system and method are disclosed for cleaning articles within a chamber of a warewash machine. The warewash machine has a rinse sump for collecting a rinse agent dispensed into the chamber and a wash sump for collecting a wash agent dispensed into the chamber. The method includes a wash phase during which the wash agent is dispensed into the chamber during and an auxiliary rinse phase during which the rinse agent is dispensed into the chamber. The wash machine includes a controllable deflector for directing the wash agent to the wash sump during the wash phase and the rinse agent to the rinse sump during the auxiliary rinse phase. The method also includes a final rinse phase during which water from an external source is dispensed into the chamber. The controllable deflector direct the water dispensed during the final rinse phase to the rinse sump such that the water combines with the rinse agent therein. The rinse agent is re-used during at least one subsequent auxiliary rinse phase.

An acidic detergent composition can be used for removing soils on articles in a dish machine. The acidic detergent composition may be inserted into a dish machine dispenser and a use solution may be formed that contacts a soil on an article and removes the soil on the article. The composition comprises an acid and a surfactant. The composition may be a solid, liquid, gel, paste or pellet.

A rinse aid composition and methods of making and using the same. A rinse aid composition may generally include an effective amount of a sheeting agent component, and an effective amount of a defoamer component. The sheeting agent component may include one or more alcohol ethoxylate compounds that include an alkyl group that includes 12 or fewer carbon atoms. The defoamer component may include an ethylene oxide containing surfactant configured for reducing the stability of foam that may be created by the one or more alcohol ethoxylate compounds of the sheeting agent in an aqueous solution.

Method and apparatus for using a unit dose dispenser

A solution capable of removing adherent organic material from the surface of a solid substrate at room temperature. The solution includes a first solvent, preferably water, having dissolved therein: up to 2% alkali metal silicates, a source of alkalinity that is substantially free of alkali metal hydroxide ions, an organic solvent, and an amount of hydrotrope effective to render the organic solvent or solvents soluble in the solution, an amino alcohol may be included, at least one surfactant, and a corrosion inhibitor may be included. The solution should have an alkaline pH less than about 12. The solution is used to remove the adherent organic material by soaking the object having such material thereon in such a solution, preferably at room temperature.

In fabric laundry procedures, commercial and household laundry detergent compositions commonly contain an optical brightener composition. Brighteners adjust the optical properties of the fabric in such a way that the fabric appears to be white even after repeated washings. Often white fabrics can yellow during use. Fluorescent optical brighteners having an optical blue aspect, mask the yellowing of the fabric. Common laundry detergents fail to have sufficient brightening capacity to brighten heavily soiled white cotton items used in household, commercial, institutional or fast-food food surface. A process for improving the whiteness of soiled white cotton, preferably terry cloth, items involves contacting the soiled white fabric item with a presoak containing an effective proportion of a fluorescent optical brightener composition, removing the item from the presoak and separating the presoak composition from the fabric item producing an extracted item. The extracted item is then laundered in a laundry detergent composition containing a brightener. The resulting white fabric items have substantially improved whiteness when compared to similarly soiled items laundered in conventional processes.

A novel detergent composition and product form provides for substantial chlorine stability in detergents having substantial organic surfactant concentration. The product format ensures that water contained in the formulation, contact between sensitive organic materials and the chlorine source are structurally isolated preventing undesirable chlorine surfactant interactions and instability. Particulate detergents can be packaged in any arbitrary packaging component that can maintain a dry flowable powder.
