An electromotive furniture drive () for displacing parts of an item of furniture in relation to one another comprises a base body () on which a first drive unit () and a second drive unit () are held. When the furniture drive () is mounted, each drive unit () is actively connected to a part of the item of furniture to be displaced. According to the invention, the drive units () are each accommodated in a separate housing (or), whereby the base body () is provided in the form of a brace and connects the housings () of the drive units () to one another. The inventive model significantly simplifies the production of furniture drives whereby rendering it more economical.

Piece of seating furniture, such as an armchair, includes a basic body on which a seating area is provided. Armrests, such as left and right armrests, are disposed laterally of the seating area. The armrests may be adjusted from a seating position into a lying position in which surfaces of one or more of the armrests form a lying area or a portion of a lying area. In that manner, the piece of furniture may be used for lying down on when the armrests are in there respective lying positions. One or more of the armrests may be pivotably attached to the seating furniture so that the armrests may individually or collectively be adjusted to various positions, so as to provide a variety of seating and lying options for a user of the chair.

An adjusting device for the adjustment of the support device relative to the base body may be provided. One of the rails may be hollow or open on one side for receiving part of the adjusting device. A base may be provided with at least two relatively adjustable support components. The support device may have at least one drive unit detachably connected to the base and provided with a housing having a recess. A rotatably mounted shaft engages with the recess when the drive unit is assembled. The shaft engages with a support component to be adjusted and can be rotated by the drive unit. The drive unit is placed on the shaft from the support side so that the housing of the drive unit is arranged between the support components and the shaft. Thus, the support device has a lower profile than conventional support devices.

Motor-driven, adjustable supporting device for the upholstery of seating and/or reclining furniture, e.g. a mattress or a bed, has a first supporting part and at least a second supporting part for the support of a mattress over its surface. The first supporting part and the second supporting part are jointedly connected to one another and are pivotable relative to one another by a drive. The drive may have at least one electromotive drive which is disposed on the first supporting part in such a way that an output element of the drive is disposed between an upper limiting plane and a lower limiting plane of the first supporting part.

Motor-driven, adjustable supporting device for the upholstery of seating and/or reclining furniture, for example of a mattress or a bed

An adjustable padding device for a piece of furniture used for sitting and/or lying upon. The device comprises at least one flat elastically deformable padding element and at least one adjustable supporting device with a base body for supporting the padding element in a flat manner. Adjusting element(s) are provided on the supporting device that are used to adjust the inclination and/or height of at least one part of the supporting device, whereby the padding element is attached to the supporting device and to the adjusting element(s) to form a unit.
